Churchill Beats Walter Johnson 50-37

Churchill used strong defense and timely scoring to defeat Walter Johnson 50-37 Wednesday evening to close out Montgomery County 4A South Division play with a 9-1 record (14-3 overall). The win was the Bulldogs eighth straight and 12th in their last 13 games. Churchill has now won 19 of its last 22 division games spanning the last two seasons and captured back-to-back division titles.
Senior Sam Edens led the Bulldogs with a career and season high 24 points including an astounding 8-0 personal run in the last five seconds of the first half.
Churchill will look to continue its winning streak when it plays at Clarksburg on Friday evening at 5:15 pm.
Churchill Wins Montgomery County 4A South Division Title with 49-41 win over Richard Montgomery

Winston Churchill won its second consecutive division title with a 49-41 victory over Richard Montgomery Monday evening in a MOCO 4A South Division game. The Bulldogs (13-3 overall/8-1 Montgomery 4A South) struggled throughout the game but eventually found their stride in the 4th quarter to earn the victory. The victory was Churchill's 18th in its last 21 division games spanning back to 2010-11. Junior Dominique Williams (11 points) and Senior Sam Edens (11 points) led the Bulldog attack. Seniors Christian Bonaparte, Thomas Geenen and Quan Gill all made huge contributions for Churchill. Churchill will wrap-up division play with a game against Walter Johnson on Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) at WCHS.
Churchill Wins Bobby Miller Bulldog Holiday Classic!
December 28, 2011 —
Churchill defeated Shaler Area HS 51-47 to win the third annual Bobby Miller Bulldog Holiday Classic. Thomas Geenen was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player while Sam Edens and Matt Moshyedi were named to the All-Tournament team. Kyle Edwards earned the Academic Award for Churchill.
