The 2009 Closing Ceremonies will be held on Sunday, November 15th 12 pm at Madison High School on the Utility Field. Food will be provided as well as an trophy and awards presentation. Each player will be provided 3 meal tickets (themselves and 2 guests).  If there are any additional guests wanting to attend, the cost is $6 per person for food.  Additional meal tickets can be purchased at the fields during practice starting Monday, November 9th. Please RSVP to your Team GM as soon as possible in order to get an accurate count for food.

Starting Monday Nov. 9th at Madison High School (set up near the snack bar) we will becollecting CYFC equipment, gear, and uniforms for teams not in the playoffs or traveling to post season tournaments.

All CYFC equipment, gear, and uniforms must be washed and all equipment accounted for.

The first round of the playoffs are over and Clairemont Youth Football still has three teams alive. We had tough losses for the Jr. Midget and Mitey Mite White teams, but the Pee Wee and Jr. Pee Wee Bluer teams both won to advance to the second round. The All-American team had a first round bye and will resume play in the second round.

 

Jr. Pee Wee White, Mitey Mite Blue, Flag Blue, and Flag White will all be playing Jamboree games this weekend.

Congratulations to all of our cheerleaders for a great season and a fantastic showing at the cheer competition. All of our cheer squads placed in the competition. The Midget cheer team took second place. The Flag, Mitey-Mite, and Jr. Pee Wee cheer teams all placed third. Last, but certainly not least, the Jr. Midget cheer team brought home the gold, finishing in first place in their division. What a great effort by our Lady Hawks and their coaches and trainers. It is great to see their hard work all year pay off at the cheer competition.

This week (10/26-10/31) practices will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The current rotation is in effect for this week and will be adjusted next week depending upon which teams are still in the playoffs. All Cheer squads will be on the Football Field.

 

Bring water to drink at practice and make sure to have a jacket or sweatshirt for after practice.
