1:00pm Mississauga Valleys, Gilbert Field - PeeWee Cougars vs SWFA Panthers
PLEASE NOTE THAT EQUIPMENT WILL BE COLLECTED IMMEDIATELY WHEN EACH TEAM'S PLAYOFF RUN COMES TO AN END. THEREFORE, ALL PLAYERS ARE ASKED TO BRING ALL THEIR GAME AND PRACTICE GEAR WITH THEM TO THE PLAYOFF GAMES.
In an effort to minimize the spread of the Flu virus which has been circulating through the area, CMFA teams will no longer be providing shared water bottles at games or practices.
All players are encouraged to bring their own drinking water to games and practices for the remainder of the season. As an association, CMFA will attempt to have bottled water at the field for players who have none.
CMFA Awards Banquet
Our annual awards banquet will be held on Sunday November 29th from 1pm to 4pm at the Star Walk Buffet Restaurant in the Rockwood Mall which is located at the corner of Dixie and Burnhamthorpe (4141 Dixie Rd).
The cost is $10.00 for players children under 12. Adults are $20 (Cash Only Please). Envelopes with banquet information were passed out at practice last week and will be available this week. There is an all you can eat buffet, unlimited pop, coffee and tea.
There will raffles for great prizes done throughout the event so please come ready to buy tickets. All proceeds go right back to the CMFA.
CMFA PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
STARTING TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH, PRACTICES WILL BE HELD EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY UNDER THE LIGHTS AT FALLINGBROOK PARK.
PRACTICES WILL BE FROM 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
* FALLINGBROOK PARK IS LOCATED ON FALLINGBROOK DRIVE, WHICH RUNS NORTH FROM EGLINTON AVE., JUST WEST OF TERRY FOX WAY.
ONLY REGISTERED PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD TO PRACTICE!! COMPLETE REGISTRATION REQUIRES SUBMITTING A SIGNED COPY OF THE ONLINE REGISTRATION, A PHOTOCOPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE, AND PAYMENT OF $250.
CMFA MISSION STATEMENT
At CMFA our mission is to provide an environment for teaching the sport of football to all eligible individuals through a supportive, safe, family environment that fosters the development of the player’s intellectual, physical, emotional and social growth. It is our goal to accomplish this by providing excellent coaching, a focus on the safety of the athletes, and skill development in all aspects of the game. During this process the players can expect that the CMFA will provide each child with an opportunity to play to the highest level of their ability and to encourage our player’s to learn to respect the ideals and contributions of parents, coaching staff, other players, and the community at large.
CMFA Monthly Executive Meeting
CMFA FOOTBALL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ALL INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS TO ATTEND OUR NEXT EXECUTIVE MEETING. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE OPERATION OF THE CLUB, OFFER SUGGESTIONS, OR GET INFORMATION ON THE 2009 FOOTBALL OPERATIONS, MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. WE ARE LOOKING TO ADD TO OUR SMALL NUMBER OF HARD WORKING VOLUNTEERS.
