The Quarterback Club will hold its next meeting Monday, June 29th at 6:30 pm in the CHS cafeteria. All are welcome. We are always seeking new members. The success of the Quarterback Club and their ability to meet the needs of our coaches and players is dependent on the volunteerism of our players' parents. Please come and volunteer your time, talent and efforts to make this season successful. No need to tell us ahead of time, just show up!
SAVE THE DATE!
The 2015 New Hampshire Motor Speedway fundraiser will be held on Sunday the 19th of July 2015. All 2015 football players are expected to attend and bring a parent/relative/ friend. More info to follow but please mark the date!!
Physicals for Incoming 2015 CHS Football Players
All incoming freshmen and players in grades 10-12 that have not played a sport at CHS before are required to have a physical on file in the CHS Athletic Department before they start formal practice on 12 August 2015. We encourage players/ parents to schedule these with your player's primary care physician. For those that can not schedule an appointment with their own physician, there will be an opportunity to get a physical in the CHS Nurses office on Tuesday the 4th of August from 9-11 am but you must schedule this ahead of time by contacting the CHS Athletic Office.
Please note the date change, it is now on Tuesday the 4th (was previously scheduled for the 6th)
Thank You to all 2015 CHS Football Players who volunteered their time cleaning at the 2015 Rock N Race on Thursday 21st of May. Your efforts were much appreciated!
A Little Sponsor Help for a CHS Football Alumni
Kyle Brown is a 2008 CHS graduate who last played on the 2007 season CHS Football team. If you have been following the Quarterback Club Twitter or Facebook pages, you know he has been competing for a spot on the US Olympic Skelton team. He has made the team and now needs your help to fundraise for participation in the Skeleton event at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
As a member of the 2014- 2015 Men's USA Skeleton National team, Kyle participates in the Olympic sport of Skeleton where he slides down an ice track head first, reaching speeds up to 90 mph. After only his second season in the sport, he is competing against the best in the world (World rank: 30th), and has become one of the top sliders in America (U.S. rank: 3rd). He would like represent the State of New Hampshire and become part of the US Olympic team going to the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang in 2018.
Kyle relies on fundraisers and sponsors to offset the costs of his Olympic equipment, traveling, training, housing etc and that can cost upwards of $25,000 every season for a Skeleton athlete. Surprisingly, US Olympic athletes are self-funded. To help offset the costs, he is having the "Kyle Brown Skeleton Scramble" golf event on Friday the 24th of July 2015 at the Loudon Country Club. In order to make this event successful, he needs business and/or private sponsors to help pay for the event, prizes and games at the tournament to provide a fun and exciting event for the golfers that are attending.
With your sponsorship, he will have the capability to focus more on training and preparing as he pursues his dream of competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
It is not often we have a bonafide Olympic CHS alumni. This is an opportunity to support a CHS Football alumni in an Olympic sport and make onto the world stage at the 2018 Winter Olympics! Please help!
This is a great opportunity to bring a community together for a fun and competitive event trying to raise awareness and gather support for a local athlete aspiring to make it to the Olympic Games. Attached is a Sponsorship Package form that lays out the multiple options for supporting the event. If you are able to help sponsor anything at the Golf Tournament event on Friday the 24th of July please contact Kyle at the following address and tele number:
305 South Street
Concord, NH 03301
