COUGARS 9-8 TEAM PLAY HARD IN TIE WITH CHARLES CARROLL
December 8, 2009 The Cougars 8-9 team needed a boost after the shut-out they suffered last week. They came out ready to play against Charles Carroll. Both teams needed a win. Charles Carroll was off to an 0-2 start and wanted to get a win. The Cougars wanted to show that they are a much better team then they were last week. Goalie play was very important and both teams had very good players in goal. The teams battled back and forth, moving the ball and scoring goals one after another. By the end of the game there was a mad dash to get a goal. The defense on both teams shut each other down and the game ended in a 4-4 tie. Great game for the Cougars. It wasn't a win but they proved that they could play as a team for a whole game.

THE COUGARS BRING HOME ONE WIN AND ONE LOSS THIS WEEK !!
December 2, 2009 This week was the opening season for the Cougars 8-9 and 6-7 grade teams. The 8-9 team played on Monday and had a rough game. They have a lot of speed and talent but the coaching staff could not get the right combination together on the field at the right time. One good thing was this gave the coaches a really good gametime look at what we have. Team Frisco is a very good and agressive team. They had the upper hand on the Cougars in the first half scoring 5 points and shuting out the Cougars. A few adjustments in the second half stopped Frisco from scoring another point but the Cougars could not generate enough offense to score and were shut out 5-0. Looking forward to next week when we can change up a few things on offense.

Wednesday night brought the 6-7 grade Cougars into there first game of the season. They played team Valencia and they both came out very strong. The scoring went back and forth and with Nate playing very good in the goal the score was tied 2-2 at the half. The second half had Tyler playing goal and the Cougars started moving the ball much faster. A couple more scores for the Cougars put them ahead 4-2. With eight minutes left in the game team Valencia scored another. Then the Cougars opened up again and scored 2 quick goals to make the score 6-3. Team Valencia was not done and added another but it was too late. The Cougars finished the game and won there first game of the season 6-4.

Looks like the Cougars are ready to have some fun this season.

OPENING NIGHT BRINGS A WIN FOR BOTH 4/5 COUGAR TEAMS !!!!
November 23, 2009 Thursday night was opening night for both 4-5 grade Cougars teams. Both teams played at the same time so Carroll Indoor looked like the Cougars were gonna take over, and they did !! Both teams came out ready to play. The White Cougars played an evenly matched Sandymount team and kept the score close throughout the defensive battle. The second half saw the White Cougars slowly pull away and hold on for a 5-3 win.

The Grey Cougars are a very fast team with size that can fool most teams. CISC Detroit was a much larger team but found out that the Grey Cougars can move the ball very quickly. This game was very close also for the first half. The second half saw the Grey Cougars swarming the ball and Detroit could not keep up. The goalies for the Grey Cougars played a great game, which gave there offense time to set-up for shots on goal. The Grey team took advantage of this and added to the score to come out with the 8-4 win.

Both teams had a great night and they look like two very exciting teams to watch this season. Gooooo Cougars !!!!!

COUGARS PRACTICE NIGHT 2009/2010
November 18, 2009 The 2009 Cougars Practice night was a huge success. We had 60 Cougars take the field for this years practice night. It may have looked out of control but this night gave the Cougars Coaching staff a great chance to look at the players and prepare for the season. We saw many new faces which is very exciting and lots of returning Cougars. The Baltimore Blast players were a little late due to the traffic but once they arrived, they took full control. The players had a great time working with a few of Baltimore's Best.

COUGARS OUTDOOR TEAM FINISH A GREAT SEASON AT FSK
November 15, 2009 The Cougars U12 outdoor team finished there outdoor season on Saturday with two great wins at the FSK end of season tournament. The Cougars finished the regular season with a 5 - 3 record that had them in 3rd. place coming into the tournament. They won there first game 6 - 1 over West Carroll then lost there second against Charles Carroll, 3 - 2. Game three was a thriller in the mud against FSK that went into double PK overtime. The Cougars came out on top 6 - 5. The next game was against the FSK reigning champs from 2008. The Cougars held there own but slowly gave up a few scores. The final score was FSK 3 Cougars 0. What a great year for this team, and we are already looking forward to next season. We will see most of you at indoor, but goodluck to everyone and hope to see you back in the Silver and Black.
