Championship Game: Springfield 6 NXT Millennium 8
Springfield AA 12-Blue lost to Metro NY NXT Millennium in the MAR Championship game today, Aug 1. Down 7-2 in the bottom of the 5th inning, Nick Gorman launched a grand slam HR to bring Springfield within a run. However, when all the dust settled, Springfield came up just short, losing 8-6 to a solid and mature NXT Millennium team. Congratulations NXT Millennium and good luck in the Cal Ripken 12/60 World Series. Congratulations Springfield 12s and Manager Rich Smith on an exciting, never-say-die, run.

The Host Team, Springfield AA, will play Metro NY Champion NXT Millennium for the 2011 Cal Ripken 12/60 Mid-Atlantic tournament championship on Monday 8/1 at 11am at Springfield's Netherwood Park.
Semi-Finals are set for Sunday 7/31 at 4pm
Springfield vs. N. Elizabeth 4pm Sunday start time.
NXT Millennium vs. Bear 4pm Sunday start time.
