Scoopers registration for the 2010 CSA Lacrosse season is now open!
REGISTER NOW FOR CSA LACROSSE!!! The CSA Scoopers lacrosse program is open to boys and girls grades K-6 (grade as of December 31). will emphasize fun and socialization. No previous experience necessary. All sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons from 3-4:00 pm in a fun "picnic" style family atmosphere so bring some cold drinks, some snacks, a blanket, your camera, family and friends! In parallel with developing a love for the game, the emphasis for this program is exercise, fun and family. Teams will get together once per week on Sunday afternoon during the season which will include both a practice and scrimmage depending on the number of participants registered. The program cost is $75 per participant (CSA rewards and team discounts apply) and will be held at a field location in the Clarksburg area. Participants need to provide their own stick.
The CSA Lacrosse program has completed it's first season in spring 2009. Lacrosse is fastest growing sport in the US, and now it will be played in the Clarksburg Community!
The CSA Rec Lacrosse program focus is on learning the sound principles of lacrosse, personal skill development and team building. No previous experience is necessary. Teams will be formed based on community demand and coaching support. Contact CSA regarding coaching opportunities today! Age cut offs are determined by the age of the player by 12/31. So, for example if a player is 11 by 12/31, he/she must play at the U-13 level.
Teams require a minimum of 18 participants for each age group. Practices start around March 1st (weather permitting) and games are played in April and May. Practices are generally 2-3 times a week. The cost of the program is $125 and participants need to provide their own gear which includes:
Boys: helmet, gloves pads, mouth guard and stick.
Girls: goggles, stick, and mouth guard
Practice fields for all teams will be in the Clarksburg vicinity.
Teams will be fielded based on community demand and volunteer support, so step up and be part of Clarksburg history!
