In this regard, the HEAT will participate in selected tournaments in an eleven state region consisting of New England, CT, Adirondack, other New York districts and the Middle Atlantic States as well as potentially the National AAU tournaments.
The Connecticut HEAT is headquartered in Central Connecticut (New Britain, Newington, and Wethersfield), USA and is registered with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as part of the Connecticut District Association (CTD - Organized September 17, 1929). The Connecticut HEAT is looking for dedicated, hardworking young ladies from ages 9 to 16. We look forward to creating the best basketball learning environment for all of our members.
Baby HEAT 2009
Baby HEAT girls celebrated it's first win of the season with the big sister HEAT girls watching. Coached by Uju and Faith Baby Heat won with the score of a lot to a little. Way to go baby girls!
Baby HEAT in action with two of the other teams there to cheer them on. The court was a buzz as Baby HEAT prepared to play. Baby HEAT would win the tap. Both teams went back and forth , up and down the court. Neither team being able to score. Then all of a sudden it happened....Baby HEAT scored and would take their first lead of the season, 2-0. The Northstars would come back and score a basket of their own. Baby HEAT would then go on a run. Scoring the next 10 points. Baby HEAT was rolling, the crowd was going wild. You would have thought this was the championship game. All of the girls were contributing but Chiara was the offensive star in the first half. After a timeout by the Northstars Baby HEAT continued to roll scoring 22 points in the first half. Their best offensive output of the season and they still had 16 minutes to go. There was great excitement on court 2. The second half started much the same, Baby HEAT was lighting it up. Devona was off to the races scoring on break away lay ups and shooting long range jumpers. Shaniyah was scoring, Olivia knocked down shots, Jenai scored a basket, Sam did a great job on defense and rebounding. Pika was a beast, Alyssa was focused, Jazmine was the defensive stopper. All of the girls played gggrrreeeeaaaat. They would go on to their first victory 34-6....but who's keeping score.
