WEEK FOUR PRESS RELEASE
WEST SACRAMENTO’S KASEY CHAPAN NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – West Sacramento outfielder-catcher Kasey Chapan has been named District 6 Player of the Week for the week of June 7-13 as voted on by District coaches.
Chapan, who just finished his freshman year at River City High School, was outstanding for a West Sacramento team that went 3-2 over a five game stretch this week.
The youngster, who made the River City varsity team as a freshman, knocked in 12 runs and had a double, triple and a home run in five games.
Chapan had a home run and two RBI in a 13-2 loss to the Reno Knights, was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in a 12-9 loss to the Knights in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
On Sunday in a twin bill against the Damonte Ranch Rebels, Chapan was 3-for-5 with three RBI in both games as West Sacramento won 14-6 and 16-10.
Finally, Chapan closed his week going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Tuesday in West Sacramento’s 10-4 win over Roseville

FAIR OAKS’ CHARLIE ROBERTSON NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Fair Oaks pitcher-first baseman Charlie Robertson has been named District 6 Player of the Week for the week of May 31-June 6 as voted on by District coaches.
Robertson, a recent graduate of Bella Vista High School and a 29th-round draft pick of the Texas Rangers, struck out seven Manhart hitters in seven innings in an 11-0 victory over Manhart on Saturday
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound left-handed batter helped Fair Oaks sweep Manhart on Sunday going 2-for-4 with a double on Sunday in a 5-2 victory.
