With a 10-2 win over the Dodgers the Athletics finish the regular season 12-2 and become co-champions with the Reds of the Dapper Dan Major League. Carter Funk and Tristan Gibbs split time on the mound for the Athletics combining for a no-hitter. Funk took the mound for the Athletics; he pitched 4 innings, allowed two runs, no hits, six walks, and struck out ten. In relief, Gibbs took the mound in relief; he pitched 2 innings, allowed zero runs, no hits, two walks, and struck out two. For the Athletics, JT Stevenson doubled twice and singled, Noah Weber singled three times, Tristan Gibbs, Conner Stepp, Brennen Gibbs each singled twice, and Carter Funk doubled. Defensively, the Athletics played smart, fundamentally sound baseball committing no errors. The Athletics defeated the Reds 7-6 in seven innings of play. Going into their last at bat and with the score 6-3, the Athletics were able to string together a series of hits (Stevenson, Gibbs, T., Stepp, and Gibbs, B.) and tie the game 6-6. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Noah Weber hit a two out triple, followed by Stevenson’s two out game winning single driving in Weber to score the winning run. Tristan Gibbs took the mound for the Athletics; he pitched 6 innings, allowed six runs, seven hits, seven walks, and struck out eight. In relief, Noah Weber pitched 1inning, allowed zero runs, zero hits, one walk, and struck out two. For the Athletics, JT Stevenson tripled once and singled twice, Noah Weber tripled and singled, Conner Stepp tripled, Brennen Gibbs doubled, and Tristan Gibbs and Carter each singled twice. Carter Funk took the mound for the Athletics; he pitched 5 innings, allowed ten runs, seven hits, five walks, and struck out ten. In relief, Tristain Gibbs he pitched 2 innings, allowed one run, one hit, zero walks, and struck out two. For the Athletics, Carter Funk doubled three times and singled once, Tristan Gibbs tripled and singled, Brennen Gibbs doubled and singled twice, J.T. Stevenson, Noah Weber, and Luke Hamilton each singled.
