Concussion Policy and Training

It is required that ALL coaches and officials take a concussion training course to comply with legislation recently passed in regards to concussions in youth sports. There are a couple of FREE online options, which have been approved by SAY:

  • National Federation of State High School Associations Concussion in Sports (click here)
  • Center for Disease Control - Heads Up Concussion in Youth Sports (click here)

The course has to be taken every three years. If you haven't taken it in less than three years or cannot locate your certificate, please re-take. Additional SAY policy information is available on SAY's website (click here).
