About us:
Dayton Summer Recreation, Inc (DSR) is a non-profit organization that provides youth baseball, softball and T-ball programs for young athletes in the Dayton Elementary and Wainwright Middle School areas. Our goal is to provide fun, recreation, and instill a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship through our T-ball, baseball and softball programs.
Our three-field ballpark is located just behind Dayton Elementary School in Dayton, Indiana. We also constructed a softball field at Wainwright Middle School. This field will be maintained by us and used for our Minors and Juniors teams.
We are home to teams playing under the Dayton Bulldogs, Wainwright Mustangs and McCutcheon Mavericks colors.
2010 Registration Now Open
The new registration forms are available. Click on the forms tab on the left side of this page.
This year, we are accepting mail in registrations. They must include full payment and be in our P.O. Box no later than March 13, 2010.
We have also updated our Parent Newsletter, which contains important information. It can be found on a tab to the left as well.
Our in-person registrations are Friday, February 19th (6-8 PM) and Saturday, February 20th (10 AM - 2 PM). We will be in a classroom at the Dayton United Methodist church, just inside the rear entrance doors of the gym.
Changes For Little League Program
There have been some significant changes to our Little League Program. Click on the Little League tab on the left of this page for additional details and the registration form.
Little League players should attend one of the in-person registrations to complete additional forms and get information. Contact Director Ryan Johnson if you have any questions.
Player Skills Evaluation
March 13, 2010
Player skills evaluations will take place on Saturday, March 13th. Players in Pixie and Cadet Softball, and Pinto and Mustang baseball must attend. These will take place in the McCutcheon High School aux gym. Times will be announced soon.
Ball Park Clean Up Day
April 10, 2010
The date for the field clean up day is Saturday, April 10th. We will start by 9:00 AM and usually finish in about 4 to 5 hours. Bring your tools and come help clean up, repair and get our fields and concession stand looking top notch for our young athletes!
