Another "BANNER" AGAME Supershootout2 "champs"
June 19, 2011
We went up to Pottstown, PA to the AGAME Supershootout2 with one goal in mind, and that was to return as "CHAMPS".
The plan seemed to be a "wash" after our game 1 performance, the Oaklane Wildcats had a kid that was the "real deal" and we had a terrible time matching up with him. We lost that first game. After the post game chat, it looked as if the kids minds were back on track.
We went on to string together three consecutive victories, and the 3rd and final victory was the championship clintcher versus a SOLID Philly Freedom Stars squad that was fresh off a championship from Basketball Spotlights MDC.
"WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS" New uniforms coming soon....
In other news: Our 12U team was also at this tournament, and they managed to make it to the semifinals but lost by 2pts to the Delaware PAL Panthers.
@ the Tri-State Invitational
June 5, 2011
We decided to head on down to Dover, the Capitol city of our wonderful state. This is the 3rd consecutive year we've competed in this tournament.
Our 1st opponent was Team Inferno, this game was over from the jump, before u knew the score was 30-0, it was unexplainable how overmatched Team Inferno was.
Final score of the game 38-5 (Running Clock entire 2nd half).
Our 2nd opponent was the Pal Panthers of Delaware, an interesting contest featuring a few players who once played for us. We came out flat and lacked energy and Pal Panthers took advantage, one would think the kids would have been fired up, but it was complete opposite.
Pal Panthers took a single digit lead into halftime and held on for a 12pt victory. Keith Deloatch carrried his Pal Panthers team to victory.
Our 3rd opponent was a very tough Long Island Lightning team. Thuis game was a test of metal, and we were up to the challenge, we led pretty the entire game until the final minutes, missed freethrows and missed layups ened up being our achillies heel, in 2pt loss.
This game did prove to us that we have what it takes to be amongst the best, hopefully it carries over to our next tournament....
May 30, 2011
1st game we played NIke Baltimore Elite. We certaintly did not perform up to normal playing level. Granted, Nike Baltimore Elite was a solid team, but when u miss nearly 30 fts and lose by only 9pts, it makes this loss tough to accept. Noah Taylor played rreally well for us during this game.
Gm2 was against Natural Ballers, a team from NYC. COming into this tournament they were regarded as top level in the northern east coast. Our earlier loss and had left a bad taste in our mouths, and we toook it out on the opponent. This game out of hand early and we were up by nearly 30pts in this game, managed to win by about 20pts. Trevon Alderman, a new pick up for us, had an excellent game.
Our 3rd game was against Riverside Hawks, anothe NYC team. This team was GOOD, but our boys were ready. The game was a back and forth affair form beginning to end, neither team would have a lead more than 6pts throughout the game. In this game, we would lose by just 2pts.

May Jam (Results)
May 22, 2011
We took two teams to the "MAY JAM" hosted by Delaware Defenders
The 11U went 2-0 on day1, defeating DE Assault by a close 3pts, and breezed past Chester Pride by 20+ pts
Their day1 performance got them to today Championship game, a rematch vs DE Assault.
Boy were they (DE Assault) ready!
DE Assault jumped out to a HUGE early lead, and took a 17pt cushion into halftime.
Coach Darnell gave the boys a SPIRITED halftime speach and whatever he said really motivated the boys.
The comback was on, solid pressure defense and made shots were on display, with 2 minutes remaining we had cut our deficit to a mere 6pts.
6pts would the deficit at games end, a hard fought comback that came up short, the boys showed heart...
Gotta play that way form the beginning....
11U back at it next weekend....
The 13U experiment didnt go so well, our 12U team coupled with a few new faces 1st faced off against DE Assault's 13s, the game was close in the beginning, we were down 3pts at halftime. Once our big JW, formerly of DE Assault, got into foul trouble the outcome of the game was pretty much a DONE DEAL, we would go on to lose by 11 or 12pts...
Game2 was against Chester Prides 13U team, Chester had the advantage in size, but we had an advantage in skill, the game was good one, even went into overtime. The Overtime was also close, we had the ball last trailing by 3pts, a play was designed for a our SHOOTER to get a 30t shot, the play worked to perfection, just the ball didnt find its way in the basket, lost by 3....
Today we played our 3rd game, the opponent was Sussex County's "GET DOWN"
The 1st half was a back and forth affair, we would lead by 4pts at the half. 2nd half was a much different story, we finally started to EXECUTE, before u knew we were up by 24pts... Ended up winning by about 16pts....
All in all a solid weekend....

Recap: Future Stars Tournament
May 2, 2011
Team Royalty 12s breezed through the competition, mercy ruling their pool play opponents.
Made to the Championship to face Chester underrated.
The first half was a back and forth affair, we were down 1pt at the half.
Second half, we were not so fortunate and wound up losing by 15pts, defense and toughness will be our focal points from here on out....

Team Royalty 12U @ Mid Atlantic AAU Districts (cont.)
April 17, 2011
Game 3 was against the Delaware Defenders, a team we were familiar with, a few of their players used to be apart of our program.
We scrimmaged this team earlier on in the year and they were pretty decent, not sure what the difference was this day, but we were clicking on all cylinders and the game just got out of hand. We wound up winning by more than 30 points.
Game 4 was against LVBS, another solid team, a team we had beaten a few weeks back though, but when we played them then it was our 1st game of that particular day, today it game 2 of the day....
Game was ugly, we just didnt look like ourselves, man for man we were better this team, but couldnt muster up the proof. We were down 8 points in 4th quarter with less than a minute to go, all of a sudden we started to play with intensity and execution. We ran out of time and wound up losing by 2pts...
2pts away from winning a bid to D1 Nationals....
We did manage to get a bid to D2 Nationals (we are accepting)
All about preparing for Nationals now
Team Royalty 12u @ Mid Atlantic AAU Districts
April 16, 2011
Game 1 was against Montgomery County who came in with a quality reputation and we knew they had a quality player.
We started the game on a "roll" opened the contest with a 16 - 1 lead, and never looked back, although they make a run of their own.
We ended winning by that same 15pt margin.
Game 2 was against Philly Freedom, we definetly knew they were a SOLID team, and may have respected them too much. The game got UGLY and I mean UGLY, at one point were down 30pts.
We didnt give up though, we kept fighting, we rallied and made a couple good runs, but ran out of time, and eventually end up losing by 12pts.
Still in the running for a bid to D1 nationals....
Finished 2nd in our pool

Clash for the Cup Results
January 31, 2011
Our 11 and under travelled up to Neptune, NJ to test our metal against the field.
1st game we played NJ power, "WE RUN", we managed to hang on to a game long lead and pulled out the 1pt victory.
Our 2nd game of the day, also 2nd game of tournament was against a local travel team, their name escapes me, we mercy ruled them, was up by 25pts with 2mins remaining so the refs CALLED THE GAME.
3rd game of tournament happened on Day2 was vs the REKNOWNED "NYC GAUCHOS", this was our 2nd time facing them this winter. Game was a back and forth FRENETIC paced game, but surprisingly LOW scoring, our BIG GUY had got in unfortunate foul trouble and fouled out early in the 2nd half. Without his presence we were dead in the clutches of their press, and defenseless against their aggressive drives to basket, ended up losing by 12pts.

January 23, 2011
Only Team Royalty I was in action on this day. We were up against Delaware Finest Stars out of Dover.
DFS opened up an early lead and looke dto be cruising to victory, but ionce the 2nd half started, high scoring duo of Jordan MOney and Kineph Turner had other thingd in mind. We were able to catch up and even took a 3pt lead with seconds remaining thanks to the CLUTCH free throw shooting of the emerging Corey Benjamin.
With only a few seconds to go DFS top gun #5 was able to shoot and make a buzzer beating three pointer. Overtime!
Then there was a 2nd Overtime....
In the end we ended up losing by a small margin in Double OT, final score escapes me....

Team Royalty II went up against the Delaware Finest Stars...
DFS guard play was a bit too much, and DFS big men asso had their way with younger Team Royalty. The youngins fought hard.
Team Royalty I went up against the new and improved Delaware Titans, featuring highly touted young baller Iyair Hynson - Purnell. We have had our fair shares of run-ins with young Purnell as he is also a member of our Mid-Atlantic foe "Team Nelson".
Young Purnell did put up good numbers, but Team Royalty reigned supreme and looked as good as ever, we won by a DOMINANT 20pt margin

January 2, 2011
Team Royalty II went up against an athletic Seaford squad and was up for the challenge, we came into the game only dressing 7 players, but the kids were ready.
Game was close throughout, but Team Royalty II pulled away and ended up winning by a comfortable margin.
Team Royalty I went up against WHACC, Team Royalty was nearly at full capacity, but missing 2 of our CAPABLE scoring options, and boy did we miss them. WHACC got up early and never let go of their lead. WHACC only had 6 people dressed and took care of business.
Back at it next Sunday....

Keystone Blazer's Holiday Showcase @ Competitive Edge Sports (RECAP)
Delaware Team Royalty came into the tournament fully assembled and ready to show its stuff versus the 12U teams scheduled to hoop it up.
Come to find out, once we arrived, we saw that were scheduled to compete in the 13U division.
No complaints or gripes from us, we just gotta go hard or a lil harder that is all.
Gm1) Team had a few big kids, you could tell that they were older and more mature, but thats expected when playing in an older age divison.
Size has nothing to do with talent though, and we have PLENTY of talent.
ELijah Dockery, Kineph Turner, Keith Deloatch and late arrival Myles Cale (all 11yr olds) made their marks on the game and we were able to win by a 10pt margin.
Gm2) vs Pennsbury Falcons, this team was bigger than the 1st and slightly more talented. No worries though. Our crew of 11yr olds and (2) 12yr olds were focused and ready, and they (Falcons) just didnt have enough fire power to keep up with high scoring quartet. We were able to win by apporx 14pts
Gm3) vs Hamabree, unfortunately for them, they had just finished a game that went into overtime, and had to play us with no rest in between, and to make matters worse, they were a team that relied heavily on the scoring of a sole player. So we played man to man from beginning till the score was out of hand, denied their their top guy and also interchanged our top defenders on him. The game was pretty much over 5mins in. We were up 18pts @ halftime. Switched to a zone trap full court press in second half and in approx 4mins flats, we were up by 36pts, ended up winning by 30pts. Final score 67 - 37.
Gm4) CHAMPIONSHIP vs Pennsbury Falcons, they seemed to be more confident this time around, I guess they believed the 1st game was a fluke. Well, it WASN'T! We left no doubt in anyones mind that we were the better team. At one point in the 2nd half we were up by 25pts. We ended up winning by 15 - 16pts.
Our first (wont be the last) championship of the "2010 - 11" season.
Keith Deloatch (Co-MVP)
Myles Cale (Co-MVP)

December 19, 2010
Team Royalty II went into the contest shorthanded, they still fought hard and gave a good team effort, in the end, the older Titans team was a tad bit too much for the undersized and undermanned Team Royalty II squad.
Team Royalty I / 2-2
Team Royalty II / 0-3

December 13, 2010
Team Royalty I matched up against a very worthy foe, the Delaware Finest Stars from out of Dover. This would be our 5th time meeting up against from this organization. The four previous times we left the game with the agony defeat written all over our faces.
This time was different, now we have Elijah Dockery (PG extrordinare), we also have Isaiah Russell (do-it-all forward/center), we also debuted our SHARP SHOOTER, Jude Gulloti, and HIGH SCORING guard Kineph Turner is now playing off the ball....
The new additions and slight changes proved to be the winning ingredient.
We led the entire game, never up by more than 9ts though, the closing moments got a little too close for comfort due to Isaiah fouling out, but we were in good hands with Elijah running the show.
We won by 1pt.
This new look group is starting to look REALLY good, cant wait to have eveyone all together at the same time....
Team Royalty 1 is now 2-2
Team Royalty 2 is 0-2

Grand Finale (recap)
December 6, 2010
Our 5th graders (11u) made the trek up to Georgian Court University, to compete against some of the top travel teams in the northeast and mid-atlantic region. Our 1st opponent was the NYC Gauchos (NYC's top team), man oh man, they put in on our young bucks, the outcome of the game was NEVER in doubt, we were mercy ruled....
Our 2nd opponent was "WE RUN" a super solid team from northern nj (nj's top team), and lets just say, they get their name honest, these kids run, and run, and run....
They may have scored every one of their points in transition, and our kids refused or were either not fast enough to get back on defense.
We did compete though, 100x better than the performance vs the GAUCHOS. We actually had a chance to win this one, but getting back on defense was our achillies heel.... Young Paul "Big Red" Brown II was a shining light in this competitive match. Had we been full strength, I predict we win this game, we were without (do it all guard/forward) Kiyon Johnson, and (the big baby) Jamal Whittlesey.
Our 3rd and final opponent was the T*Town Ballers from Trenton, NJ. Both teams entered the contest winless. This was the battle for morality, noone wants to go home winless. The arrival of Kiyon Johnson was a welcomed sight, still no Whittlesey but we had to go with what we had. Young Royalty stepped all way up, Jacob Hunt, Wayne Pritchett, Kiyon Johnson, Julius Inge, Fahmir Ali, and the trusty MUCH IMPROVED "BIG RED" found a way to pull it out. The game tight from beginning to end, but the oh so accurate touch of Paul Brown II, the heady point guard play of Jacob, and the aggressive driving of Kiyon was too much for T*Town to handle. We were victorious and went back down the road the coveted "W"....
Back in the lab, gotta get better, gotta get smarter.... We'll see yall again, and we'll be ready!
Fall League Results (2)
November 29, 2010
Team Royalty II opened up the action, the opponent was the Middletown Knights, and once again, the Middletown Knights made easy work of another Team Royalty squad. That young Mr. Cale continued to show he's one of the best there is that that the state has to offer at his grade and age level. Middle Knights wins by double figures, the game was never really close.
Team Royalty I was up next, the opponet for them was "WHACC", pretty solid team, has a skilled player at each position on the floor at all times. This game was a barn burner, filled with excitement, and even had a taste of rivalry. In the end, Team Royalty I would prevail in OT. High scoring guard Kineph Turner broke out of a mini slump and torched the "WHACC" for 18pts, and nailed the eventual game winning shots, 2fts with no time on the clock at the end of OT. SWISH, SWISH, BALL GAME!
Fall League resumes, Basketball time!
November 27, 2010
Day 2 of the Fall League is upon us, we get back to action tomorrow. Should be interesting, we had a day full of losses last Sunday, and only 1 day of practice (due to the holiday) that wasn't well attended.
Our younger team, Team Royalty II, plays the same Middletown team that put a hurting on our older team last week.
Our older team, Team Royalty I, plays the same "WHACC" team that put even a bigger hurting on our younger team last week.
Can we turn the tides, repay our advisaries, and dish them some losses of their own? Or do we repeat our lackluster performances from from the previous week?
Time will tell....
Purple, Yellow! Purple, Yellow! Purple, Yellow!
Fall League results (1)
Things didn't go as well as we had hoped....
Team Royalty I opened the League in a contest vs our now rivals (Middletown Knights), we were down 14 - 3 @ halftime. We made only shot the entire 1st half, it was brutal.
We started to click a little in the second half, but i guess we dug ourselves too deep a hole. The Knights top player, young mr myles cale put on a show and carried his Knights team to double digit victory.
Team Royalty II was the encore, and they went up against what looks like a contender to be League champs, the WHACC Warriors were ready and HOT from the beginning, Team Royalty II was no match for their bigger and stronger competition.
Team Royalty I got the opportunity to play a 2nd game, this time we were up against the new guys, the delaware titans.
Team Royalty I was ahead the entire game until the final minute. Down 1pt with 20 or so seconds remaining, a timeout was called, a play was drawn-up. The play was executed with beautiful percission, everything went as planned, except for the ball going in the basket. We loss by 1pt, a heart breaker.... But will be back....
It's that time again! Basketball time!

May 16, 2010
Game 1, we played against "Central Penn Ballers", if i rememebr correctly, we started the game on a 12-0 run, we never looked back there. Our BIG GUY, Jamal Whittlesey absolutely dominated this game. Young Fah'mir Ali scored double figures, and PG Jacob Hunt dished out MANY assists. Final score was 50 - 22....
Game 2, CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, we played against "NJ ABC", this young team was very well rounded, and very quick. We slowed the game down, used our size advantage, and led pretty much the entire game. Then all of sudden the tides changed, and NJ ABC woke up, pressed the mess out of us and slowly got back into the game. Missed free throws and turnovers costed us dearly, we ended up losing by 1pt. Final score 38 - 37....

Game 1, we went up against the defending champions from the previous year "Team Nelson" (formerly known as the Delaware Panther's). Man this team was tough, they were clicking on all cylinders, from the very beginning they made it known they were there for a "REPEAT"....
We ended up losing 48 - 32
Game 2, our opponent was "Team Final", we had played this same team the previous week and played them really tough, I guess we caught them at a bad time, they had loss the previous to LVBS and they took their frustrations out on us, this one of the most lopsided losses we had ever endured, i dont even know what the final score was....

The games started Friday night, our 1st opponent was Team Nelson 9U, we wasted no time, started the game on a 7-0 run, and never looked back. Our big fella Jamal Whittlesey, had the best game I can remember him having. He was absolutley DOING HIS THING! Rebounding, defense, scoring, and even brought the ball up a couple times. He easily accomplished a double double, and was the talk of the gym. Jacob Hunt, and Fah'mir Ali had standout performances also, Fah'mir with his scoring and ball pressure and Jacob with his playmaking abilities and defensive ball pressure. Our 10U team is a force to be reckoned with on the defensive end, but they can also stroke it from the outside, when and if our shooters (Max, Jacob, Michael, Fah'mir, and Jack) are hitting their outside shots, we are tough to beat. Final score was 38 - 20.
Game2 was played Saturday afternoon, our opponent was the PA Renegades, a team that we had beaten twice in the tournament prior to this one. I believe the kids though this was going to be an easy win and underestimated them. We didnt have our customary fast start and wasn't able to take command of the game until after halftime. We were only up 6pts at the break. A stern "talking to" seemed to have awaken our sleeping giant of defensive pressure and potent scoring. After the first few minutes of the 3rd qtr, we were able to get things together and run away with the game. Jamal again had a monster game, Jacob ran the show, Fah'mir was efficient in his scoring, and young Michael Wallace steped his game up and showed what he is capable of. Final score was same as last game, 38 - 20 Royalty reigns supreme.
With that win we were awarded the top seed in the elimination rounds/semi-final AKA "FINAL 4"
That right, both of our teams, 10U and 11U have advanced to the FINAL 4.
"CHIP CHASERS" on the prowl, looking to add to the trophy case.

We played 3games this weekend. Our first opponent was TEAM FINAL, a very talented team from NJ. The game was a back forth affair all the way down to the final minutes. We slowed the explosive TEAM FINAL down with stifling/tricky defense. At the same time they were able to disrupt us with an agressive defense of their own.
Entering the 4th quater we down just four points, some untimely turnovers and our inability to make shots were our downfall, and we ended losing 39 - 29.
Top offensive player for the game was Eric Ayala, top defensive player was Nasir Galloway. Eric led all scorers with 13pts.
We played Mid-Jersey Heat, the game was like a Mike Tyson Fight (Tyson in his prime), from the very beginning to the very end, we punished our opponent. We started the game on a 20-0 run, and the score after the 1st quarter was 25 - 5. We were on fire, clicking on all cyclinders, easily our best game to date. Ayala was his normal self stroking the outside shot, but showed his playmaking ability by getting our big fella (Whittlesey) involved with flashy assists. Galloway was his usual self on defense, but this game he showed his ability to finish plays with a scorers mentality, he (Galloway) led all scorers with 16pts.
Whittlesey was a shot blocking and rebounding force, Haynes was getting everyone involved (dropping dimes). Turner showed glimpses of what he is capable of, had defenders on skates and got to the hole at will. Inge shot a high percentage and finished with 10pts. Overall everyone played well and contributed to the win.
Final score was 74 - 41.
Galloway led all our scorers with 16pts (POG), Ayala 14pts, Whittlesey 13pts, Inge 10pts. Galloway, Whittlesey, and Turner were top defenders....
We were up against Central Penn Ballers. This team passed the look test, nice uniforms, beautiful footwear (Jordan 12's black and baby blue), had size, speed and a shooter.
But they say pressure busts pipes, so this pretty looking team was no match for the "Delaware Royalty" pressure. Lets just say, we busted their pipes, started the game on a 16-2 run and never looked back.
Kineph Turner was an absolute standout in this contest, he could do no wrong, he scored in every way possible, and at the same time was a FORCE on the defensive end.
Jariel Quintana broke out of his slump, hit a handful of outside shots, and showed his defensive talents as well.
Eric Ayala was on point from the outside, Whittlesey was all over the glass, Galloway was relentess on "D", and Haynes was the head of our venomous snake, guiding and directing the "whole"....
Final score was 51 - 24
Turner led all scorers with 16pts (POG), Ayala had 15pts, Whittlesey 10pts.... Turner, Galloway, and Quintana were the defensive standouts.
With this weekends performance, "Delaware Royalty" 11U has secured a spot in MId-Atlantic District Campionships "FINAL 4"
Final 4 will be played May 15th @ Tri-State sports complex. TIME TBA

Championship Day: Royalty "Doubles Up" (11U and 9U champs)
We faced who is turning out to be our RIVAL, we had loss to this team (Middletown Knights) the last two times we played them. Each of those loses were very close games (2pts and 3pts) but loses nonetheless.
We owed these dudes, loses do not sit well with us....
The game was a classic, and went down to the final possesion.
All throughout the 1st half, the game was a back and forth affair, noone getting a lead more than 4pts. We were doing an excellent job by keeping their top guy contained, Galloway was on the case again with his great defense.
Ayala was his usual self supplying the scoring, and Whittlesey was chairman of the boards.
Our achilles heel, poor free throw shooting, was on the case again though, I sware we had to miss close to 20fts that game, but through it all we still persevered and got the victory. Misssed free throws can do a number on a kids confidence, but they all continued to play hard and lock down on "D".
To add a little irony, free throws it what eventually ended up winning us the game.
Score was tied with approx 9 seconds left, the Knights had just scored to tie the game, we opted not to call timeout so our PG (Haynes) got the ball to our playmaker (Ayala), Ayala drove the length of the court, put up a layup attempt and was hacked just before the clock was to run out, Ayala goes to the line, with a chance to win it, he "SINKS" both free throws....
1 second remains, Knights inbound the ball, the clock expires....

DELAWARE ROYALTY: WILMINGTON PARKS AND REC CITY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS (11U)
Championship Day: Royalty "REIGNS" Supreme (9U)
April 14, 2010
Just as we expected, the rematch vs WHACC was a "BARN BURNER", but we had the kids ready....
As the game started, our top gun (Fah'mir Ali) was nowhere to be found, and our best shooter (Maxamilian Ferrante) had to sit the game out due to injury, we (coaches)were worried but not overly concerned. Not too sure the players were feeling as confident.
The game starts and what seemed instantly, we were 6 - 0, a timeout and "HEART CHECK" had to be made.
"We didnt come all this way to get embarrased, we are here for a reason, and that is to win the championship. Do we understand eachother? Let's get it together! Win on (3)! 1, 2, 3, WIN!"
As soon as we break huddle, Fah'mir enters the gym, 1st dead ball, he was entered into the game, his presence changed the entire coarse of the game.
He locked down the opponents top player and was able to get a few baskets of his own.
We went into halftime down just 2pts.
The 2nd half was a back and forth affair, they scored, then we scored, but when it was all said and done, we got one more stop than they did.
We ended up winning by 4pts (Fnal score escapes me).

City League Championship: HERE WE COME!
April 13, 2010
Team Royalty I (11 and under) squeaks by CCOD II, and earns they way into the city league 11 and under championship. Great ball pressure by Galloway and Haynes, timely scoring by Ayala, and great help defense by Whittlesey were the key components in leading us to victory.
Team Royalty I (11 and under) will face the winner of Middletown Knights vs WHACC in tomorrows championship....
Team Royalty "Baby Ballers" are also in the championship in the 9 and under division, they will face the WHACC 9 and under team.
"Baby Ballers" finish city league regular season undefeated
April 2, 2010
In a hard fought game, the 9 and under team came together in the 2nd half and outscored the Panther's 5 to 1 to secure a 9 - 5 victory and clench the #1 seed in the upcoming playoffs. The 1st half was very unRoyalty like, we couldn't make a shot, but the defensive intensity was evident, due to our defense, we were able to keep the Panther's from running away with a lead. In the 2nd half the defense got a little better, we were able to make a couple shots, and the weight of a potential loss was lifted. Way to go young fellas!
They say we 5th best in Mid-Atlantic Region....

Chester Biddy Basketball Tournament Recap....
March 7, 2010
Delaware Royalty 10's went up to Chester this past weekend, we didn't fair nearly as well as expected.
In game 1, we loss a very winnable game to the Cester Biddy All-Stars (B).
We were up 20 - 9 @ halftime and let the lead slowly slip away.
Game ended up going into overtime on a controversal play were the Chester team scored an uncontested basket with 6 players on the court. Referre counted the basket,
We ended up losing by 5pts in OT.
In game 2, we loss a game to team called Whitpain, very solid well coached team, team had no stanouts, just a group of fundementally players that could put the ball in the whole. Game was never close.
In game 3, playoffs/elimination rounds, we went up against the Chester Biddy All- Stars (A). On paper, this team was loaded. If there was line on this game, im sure we would have been 15pt underdogs.
The kids gave maximun effort and shocked a largly populated Chester crowd, had we been able to make our free throws, this game have been much closer.
We missed 9 consecutive free throws in final minutes, in a game where we loss by 12pts.
And that just about wraps it up....
Jamal Whittlesey of Delaware Royalty was named to the All-Tournament team, he pretty much "SNAPPED" in each game, averaged a double double throughout the tournament.
Way to go Jamal....
It's that time again....TOURNY TIME.... Chester, PA (Here we come)

We traveled up to Neptune, NJ to play in The Clash for the Cup tournament that was held @ Hoopgroup Headquarters. Tournament was put on by Mr. Mike Melton and the Basketball Spotlight group. They put together some of the best and most competitve tournaments in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast regions.
This was our 2nd time participating in one of their events. We have advanced to the Final 4 each time we were there.
This time, we had a few standouts, Eric Ayala
, Keith Deloatch
, and new recruit Julius Inge Jr.
were on their games this weekend. All (3) were named to the All-Tournament team.
Congrats young fellas....
"Royalty" players named to All-tournament team
Trevon leaves a lasting impression....
December 31, 2009
We say he left an impression due to this tournament being his "Final" 9 and under outting. Trevon just turned 10yrs old on the 30th. We say his impression was lasting due to him being named the tournament "MVP"....
Trevon was electric during the entire tournament, but young Mr. Alderman saved his best for last, he ABSOLUTLEY SNAPPED in the semi-final and championship games.
Tre' excited the crowd with crafty ball handling, and had strangers going wild as he swished the nets with a handful of uncontested and contested 3pt bombs.
Congrats Young Tre'.
