Little League Road Show Comes to District 8
The Ohio District 8 Little League is proud to announce its hosting of the 2010 Central Region Road Show on Saturday, March 20. While this event will benefit local league administration, it will also be of great benefit to umpries from across the region.
Central Region Umpire-in-Chief Jeff Knoebel will be on site to run a very beneficial clinic that will specifically address Rule Changes, Points of Emphasis, Rules of Interest, and Selected Mechanics. Moreover, he will also facilitate a Q and A session as well.
Note that this clinic is mandatory for all District 8 Staff Umpires as well as each league's umpire staff, particularly the umpires-in-chief of each respective league. All umpires are strongly advised to attend this beneficial and exciting clinic.

4th Annual Ohio District 8 Umpire Camp Announced
The Ohio District 8 Umpries Association is proud to announce the date of its 4th Annual Ohio District 8 Umpire Camp. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 27 from 8:30-3:30pm at Grace Community Church on Fishburg Road in Huber Heights. Note that this is the same location as years prior.
The day will be packed full of umpire education, focusing specifically on Rules Changes, Points of Emphasis, Rules of Interest, Plate Mechanics, Base Mechanics, and Handling Situations. Our camp is specifically modeled after the content and structure of the Central Region Umpire School held each Spring in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Please note that the Camp Staff asks that each umpire planning to attend pre-register at the Camp's Website, www.leaguelineup.com/district8umpirecamp. Doing so enables the camp's administration to ensure that enough materials are available to suit the population of the camp. Please also visit the camp's website for more specific information regarding the camp.

Baseball Instruction Available with JT Thompson, Former District 8 Little Leaguer
Want to become a better hitter, pitcher and fielder?
Instruction is available to improve your baseball performance by J.T. Thompson, Coach of the 2008 State ACME Champions Northmont Raiders Varsity High School Summer Baseball Team. He also was a four year player and senior captain at Wittenberg University.
J.T. will personally assist your son to develop his baseball performance skills by tailoring his instruction to enhance each player’s naturally ability and talents.
J.T. uses the education tools promoted by many college programs to improve pitching, hitting and fielding performance.
All ages and skill sets welcome.

NCAA Umpiring Video Bulletins
Each month, the NCAA releases video clips of situations that occur throughout the season to all collegiate umpires. They started doing this about two years ago and now have released some videos from the 2005 season to the public. To view these videos, please follow this link NCAA Umpiring Bulletin.
