We are getting together for a team meeting on Thurs. 3/18 at 7pm at Buffalo Wild Wings @ Jordan Creek. This is not mandatory but we would like to see as many players as possible!
2010 SEASON UPDATE
NEW RULE CHANGE IN 2010 - NO FIVE INNING PITCHING LIMIT
INDOOR HITTING LEAGUE STARTS MARCH 28th - Let me know asap who wants to be part of the HAWKS HITTING LEAGUE TEAM.
2010 LEAGUE FEES will $125 per player this year. Fees will be due by May 1st 2010, so start planning to have that to your manager by May 1st. We will plan on having a Spring Team Party sometime in early May once Kenny Hartman gets back from Afganistan. We will announce that once a date has been decided.
NEW HATS & JERSEYS - If you need to order new hats or jerseys, I will need your order by April 15th, 2010. Hats $18.00 and Jerseys $58.00

THE HAWKS BOW OUT OF SEASON FINALE TOURNAMENT IN SEMI-FINAL ROUND TO THE DM BULLDOGS WHO NOW GO ON TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME VS. THE INDIANOLA WOODPECKERS.
The Hawks season came to a screetching halt with a semi-final loss to the DM Bulldogs 12-0 on a cold October night 10/7. However, the Hawks enjoyed their best season in history with a 11-4-1 regular season record. The Hawks were 12-5-1 overall, going 1-1 in the tournament as the fourth seeded team. HAWKS VOLUNTEERING @ MIRACLE LEAGUE OF IOWA REGISTRATION DAYS
Several Hawk players volunteered time for the registration days and player clinics for the Kiawanas Miracle League of Iowa this spring. Players from the Hawks that volunteered were: Dave Hartman, Tim Rice, Don Caves and John McLaughlin. Hawk players were joined by several other players from around the league from all age divisions. The Hawk's John McLaughlin was instramental in our two organizations joining forces to help kids. The Commisioner and Board voted to be a team sponsor this year as well. The hope is that the Miracle League of Iowa and the Mid-Iowa Baseball League will be partners for years to come. The Miracle League is a baseball league for special needs kids that cannot play mainstream baseball. THEIR MOTTO: "BECAUSE EVERY KID SHOULD HAVE THE CHANCE TO PLAY BASEBALL". Thanks to all the volunteers that have helped out so far this is a very rewarding project, and the kids just love having us there.
