SPRING SOFTBALL REGISTRATION JAN 14,21 AND 28 @ GABLES 10AM-2PM
THIS IS OPEN TO ALL GIRLS AGES 4-20. Registration age brackets and fees are as follows: AGE IS DETERMINED BY JANUARY 1 AGE
SLOW PITCH
T-BALL(4-6yr old)$75 COACH PITCH(7-8yr old)$75 18U(17-18yr)$90
FAST PITCH
10U (9-10yr) $90 12U (11-12yr) $90
14U (13-14yr) $90 16U (15-16yr) $90
EACH TEAM NEEDS TO HAVE 10-12 PLAYERS EACH. BRING YOUR GIRLS OUT AND LET THEM LEARN A NEW SPORT AND DEVELOPE NEW SKILLS.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:HELMET, GLOVE, Cleats
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:BATBAG, BAT, SHIN GUARDS(TRACE BRAND), INFIELDER FACE MASK (DEFENDER, GAMEFACE, ETC).
PRACTICE CLOTHING SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE, WEATHER APPROPRIATE AND ALLOW EASY MOMENT WITHOUT BEING TOO TIGHT OR TOO LOOSE. IT SHOULD ALSO BE "PLAY" CLOTHING THAT CAN GET REALLY DIRTY AND STAINED. SHIRTS SHOULD BE T-SHIRTS, SWEATSHIRTS ETC. PANTS SHOULD BE BASEBALL PANTS, SWEAT PANTS OR SHORTS (WITH SLIDERS FOR ALL FAST PITCH TEAMS)
IN COLDER WEATHER THEY NEED TO DRESS IN LAYERS THAT PEEL OFF EASILY.

COACHES NEEDED !!
Douglasville Girls Softball needs caring, dedicated coaches whose main goal is to teach young girls what sportsmanship and teamwork is all about.
We need coaches for all age groups. Whether you have experience or are willing to learn how to coach, come on out. You must pass a background check and take a coaching certification class that cost approximately $25-30. We will provide some basic equipment. SPRING 2012 GIRLS SOFTBALL
REGISTRATION TIME IS COMING!! Go to GABLES SPORTING GOODS on Fairburn rd in Douglasville on Saturdays, beginning Jan 14 from 10am-2pm.Bring a copy of your daughters birth certificate(we must keep on file)and insurance information. Registration fees are $75 for Slow pitch (T-ball and 8U) and $90 for Fast pitch (10U thru 16U)and 18U Slow Pitch.
Online registration is now open. Payment and birth certificates will be required at team selections.
ALL HOME GAMES FOR DOUGLASVILLE GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAMS ARE BACK AT HUNTER PARK. Softball fields will be at the very back of the park. Just follow the drive all the way to the bottom fields. This is where Baseball was previously. Please remember, there are no tobacco products or weapons of any kind allow on the grounds. Parents, players and coaches must respect the priviledge of using these facilities.
PARENTS, please be respectful and supportive to your childs coaches and umpires. The coaches put a lot of time and their own money into developing your child into not only a better ball player, but also a better person.
Practices will begin as soon as the teams are set following the last day of team selections. Games will begin in March. We will begin using the fields at Hunter Park again. We are very excited about returning to our "Home." Come on out and play on our new fields!!
