DVIFL/Teams Meeting

The Del-Val Independence Football League has a league meeting, Monday, April 30,2007 @ Belfield Recreation Center 21st&Chew St.Phila,Pa start time 7:00pm.
Commissioner Gills will discuss a tentative Schedule for the 2007 season. All new teams need to bring in a deposit toward their league Fee's.We also need email address and two contact persons for all teams.

The Del Val has three new teams joined the DVIFL league,Germantown Hornets,Philly Bronco's and Logan Dolphins all was voted in by the Board memebers of the DVIFL at last meeting, still have serveral Teams interested in the DVIFL.
The Del Val coaches all agreed we need to do a better job on the weigh-in weeken, All players must get on the scale, the weight limit will be 300LBS,All players must make the weight you will be eligible if you don't meet the equirement weight you wil be unable to play in the 2007 season.
Photo Id Cards:
Id cards must be check before every game, No Id Card players will no be eligible to play that game.

There will be a DVIFL league meeting on Monday, March 12, 2007@ Giueseppes Pizza’s -1523 W. Street Rd. @ 7:00pm. Topics to include: new team updates as well as league rules. All coaches are required to attend.
League Update:
After two seasons, the Olney Blaze have left the DVIFL. We wish them luck in their future pursuits. The DVIFL will continue to grow with our tradition and pride as being one of the Premiers Adult Football League in the Delaware Valley area. Stay tuned for new articles in “Around the League”, regarding new teams and players.
We ask all player & fans to keep it clean on the guest book, as we continue to talk with sponsors regarding the DVIFL.

The coaches of the DVIFL have spoken! The DVIFL will continue with its long standing tradition and remain the only weight league on the East coast. At the first league meeting of the new year the coaches by a majority vote decided to keep the unique tradition. The DVIFL would like to welcome two new teams. The Dolphins and Broncos. The next meeting will be February 5, 2007 @ Belfield Rec, 21st and Chew.
The next DVIFL meeting will take place on Jan. 17, 2007 @ Belfield Rec center, 21st and Chew Ave. The time will be 7pm. This is a very important meeting. Attendance is mandatory for all coaches. We will be making some very important decisions on various league matters.
The DVIFL would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the Warner family on the death of Rosemary Warner, the beloved wife of Coach Bill Warner of the Colts.

Back to Back. The Chargers shutout the Giants to win Independence Bowl II. The Chargers used a tenacious defense, led by league MVP Dave Carter, to repeat as champs 9-0. The win was especially sweet because they had to do it without head coach Terry Henderson who had to be rushed to the hospital right before kickoff. The DVIFL sends its prayers and well wishes to Coach Henderson for a fast and speedy recovery. The Chargers scored their only TD on a QB draw by K. Hamm. He was named MVP of the game. Congratulations to the Giants for an outstanding season.
