Thank you for and taking the time to get to know us by visiting this site. For more detailed information about us, please go to www.e1trackclub.shutterfly.com. We hope that the information on our websites provides you with some insight as to how our Club operates and the involvement of the athlete, parents and coaching staff in working together to help all of our athletes accomplish their goals.

OUR MISSION:

The mission of E-1 Track Club is to motivate the athlete to aspire to achieve leadership, discipline and integrity through the sport of track and field and cross country running. E-1 is a community-based program that operates under the guidelines of the Cobb County Youth Track League (CCYTL), Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA), Smart Meets, United States Association of Track and Field (USATF), Amateur Athletics Union (AAU), and the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

"E-1 is proud to have among its adult leadership, USATF Level 1 Certified coaches, experienced coaches, and parent coaches who all work diligently to help develop, refine, and enhance the skills and talent of all athletes- elite, as well as developmental . Head Coach, Coach Vaughn declares, "We work with any and all athletes between the ages of 7 and 18 who respect diligence, have a good work ethic, and are committed to realizing and reaching their potential.” His philosphy is embedded in our motto:

FOCUS – Fast , Optimal, Competitive, Unobstructive, Speed

CLUB FUNCTION:

This organization is open to athletes between the ages of 7 and 18. The program is designed to meet the needs of all participants regardless of their performance level. Athletes who work hard and make the attempt are as much a part of the group as those who attain the highest level of achievement. We believe that "hard work, given time, often beats talent if talent is not accompanied by dedication, diligence, and perseverance in attempts." The club is comprised of 100% volunteer staff of parents and adults who promote and support youth track. The club operates completely under The E-1 Track Club By-Laws. Copies are available upon request only.

2010 CLUB SEASON:

There are two track seasons. For those participating in the entire track season, it lasts for 6 months (approximately 3 months during the Spring and 3 months during the Summer). During these 6 months; we assist boys and girls, ages 6 -18, with training in track and field events and participation in developmental meets, as well as competitive local, regional and national meets such as the USATF and the AAU National Junior Olympics. From September through February, several of our athletes also participate in cross country and road races. During the spring season (January-May), our athletes compete (depending on the availability at individual races (developmental, indoor, qualifying competitions and age limits and restrictions) in the following dashes/runs: 50m, 55m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1600m, 3000m runs, the Race Walk, as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. During the spring we also compete in the following field events: long jump, softball throw, high jump, high jump, pole vault, hurdles, shot put, and discus.. During the months of September through February, several of our athletes also participate in road and cross country (2K, 3K, 4K and 5K) races. During the summer, with the same disclaimer relative to availability and restrictions, our athletes may compete in all the events listed above, with the exception of the softball throw and the 1600m run. They also may compete in sprint relays, 4x800m relays and the 300m dash. Moreover, athletes have the opportunity to contest the 80m, 100m, 110m, 200m and 400m Hurdles; the 1500m Race Walk and 3000m Race Walk; Additional field events in which our athletes may compete include the Pole Vault, Triple Jump, Discus Throw, and Javelin Throw.
