2012 Extra Innings Troy Fall Baseball League, proudly sponsored by NIKE will officially begin on Sunday, August 19, 2012. This league offers a 10 game season (weather permitting) and will be under the direction of Coach Rick Gold (former Assistant Coach at Wittenberg University), and Coach Jason Leaver, (former pitcher and graduate of University of Georgia). In addition we offer a “Pre-Game” small instructional clinics each week to go over some of the fundamentals of the game. Clinics and game instruction will be provided by Extra Innings Professional Staff. This league is a non-pitching league. We will be using pitching machines to allow for more offensive opportunities in hitting and defensive opportunities for fielding. This league is intended to provide young players who want to continue to play ball in the off season the opportunity to do so. THIS IS AN INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE. All games are doubleheaders held on Sundays, August 19 through September 23 (no games Labor Day weekend). Rainouts* maybe replaced with indoor clinics/games by our staff in the Northern Miami Valleys No. 1 Indoor Trainings Facility.

NEW THIS YEAR: 1 Day Single Elimination Tournament (ALL divisions) at the end of season: Sunday, September 30, 2012.

League fee includes the following: 10 games, Single Elim. Tournament, Team T-Shirt and Cap, weekly batting practice time by age group at Extra Innings, “Game Day” Mini-Instructional Clinics, Special 2 Month Player Pack Membership* at Extra Innings, and a FREE Nike Gift for each player.

The end of the season league tournament for the 2012 Fall Baseball League was played on Sunday, September 30, 2012. It was an absolutely beatiful day to play baseball and we had some of the best performances of the season. The teams really buckled down and performed at a level not yet seen through regular season play. We had 5 total games out of 13 that went into extra innings to decided the victor, one being in the championship game (which went 8 total innings). CONGRATUALTIONS to the following teams: 10U Athletics CHAMPIONS, 10U Reds FINALIST, 12U Pirates CHAMPIONS, 12U Yankees FINALIST, 15U Reds CHAMPIONS, 15U Yankees FINALIST.

The annual Louisville Slugger Winter Hitting Leagues for Baseball & Softball consist of teams of 3 players that compete against each other to score as many points possible in 6 inning games. The baseball league alone tripled in size from year one. The goal is to hit target areas in our training tunnels to score points. The team with the highest point total at the end of the 6 innings is the winner. Teams will be playing for bragging rights and prizes in the Northern Miami Valley’s premier indoor baseball/softball training facility. Extra Innings Professional Staff will score the games and provide hitting tips throughout. All league games will be played at Extra Innings Troy. Extra Innings Troy produced a :30 second commercial spot to promote the facility and the game of baseball and softball in our surrounding communities. This commercial first aired on August 21, 2010 on ESPN (Time Warner) during the first 2010 Little League World Series game. It continued to play in 19 of the 26 LLWS games aired on ESPN and ESPN2.
