April 19, 2012 The E.P. Braves drop 7-6 game to Chain despite efforts of Manuel

Khal Manuel did all he could to give the E.P. Braves a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Chain, as the E.P. Braves lost 7-6 in five innings at Forsyth on Saturday. Manuel racked up two RBIs on one hit for the E.P. Braves. He homered in the third inning. Chain was sparked by Birch and Reed, who teamed up for four hits and seven RBIs. The game's last lead went to Chain thanks to a first inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI single by Birch. Reed homered, scoring Birch, part of a four-run third inning for Chain. Three runs in the bottom of the third helped the E.P. Braves close their deficit to 5-3. A two-run home run by Manuel and an RBI single by Jason Robinson triggered the E.P. Braves' comeback. Richard Clark grounded out to end the E.P. Braves threat. After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fifth, the E.P. Braves faced just a 7-6 deficit. An RBI single by Marty Bethea, an error, and fueled the E.P. Braves' comeback. Chain closed the game out when Toms got Clark to strike out.

The E.P. Braves outlast the ABA Braves in high-scoring affair, 11-9

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the E.P. Braves and the ABA Braves, as the two teams put up 20 runs combined in a 11-9 the E.P. Braves win. There were 17 hits, including five extra base hits in the game. The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game. The E.P. Braves staved off the ABA Braves as the ABA Braves were unable to match the E.P. Braves down the stretch. The ABA Braves scored one run in the fifth on a groundout by Dylan. Despite their efforts, the ABA Braves couldn't get over the hump. The top of the first saw the ABA Braves take an early lead, 5-0. Donavan kicked things off for the ABA Braves with a single. A single by Josh then moved Donavan from first to second. Brayden singled, bringing home Donavan and Josh. The ABA Braves then tacked on more runs when Lou scored on an error, Brayden scored on a steal of home by Brayden, and Dylan scored on a sacrifice fly by Aaron.

Robinson's effort not enough in the E.P. Braves's 5-3 loss

Not even a strong hitting and pitching performance from Jason Robinson could carry the E.P. Braves past Team Xtreme at Forsyth on Sunday as the E.P. Braves suffered a 5-3 defeat. Robinson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the E.P. Braves, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning. Team Xtreme couldn't get anything going as long as Robinson was dealing from the hill. Team Xtreme managed just one hit off of Robinson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his 4 2/3 innings of work. Team Xtreme stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring five runs on a two-run error, a solo home run by Keyshawn, a groundout by Will, and a walk by Patrick.
