Congratulations to the 2009 BBSL Champions--The 25th Championship for the Freedom
The girls didn't play up to their level, after a tough PAGS win against the undefeated #1 MAN U team. The Freedom went up 1-0 in the first minute on a corner from Francesca D to Caroline S. Francesca W hit a shot at the top of the box to go up 2-0, but the long day caught up with the girls. Two mistakes gave the visitors a 2-2 tie. The Freedom didn't quit, after leaving 6+-goals on the table, Logan G drove one home in the last 2-minutes to give the girls the Championship.
Unfortunetly, the good day was mared by one of the SAC parents trying to pick a fight in the parking lot, and the coach mouthing off that we were lucky. One day parents will realize it is a game for the girls.
Open Practices
Our Practices are open to anyone who would like to come out and experience what what the Freedom is all about. There is no commitment involved unless both parties feel that it is a good fit for both the player and the team. Practices Start under the lights at Jackville Elm Sch on Tuesday and Thursday, begining October 5, 2009, at 7pm. After a disappointing 1st game loss 1-0, the Freedom battled back to shutout 3-U12 Premiership Man Utd PAGS teams. Eventhough the Freedom was at a disadvantage with only one Sub and 4-girls fighting through injuries. They outscored their next three opponents 7-0. Congratulations ladies, this weekend you showed what it means to be a part of the Freedom.
