Week 23 4/29-5/5/2013
The season came to an end this weekend as the University of Michigan swept the Bulldogs. Game 1 1-0, Game 2 17-0, and Game 3 3-1. We would like to thank all of our parents, families, and friends for coming to our games and showing their support. Thanks so much for keeping us fed, it was much appreciated. GoDawgs!

Week 22 4/22-4/28/2013
Lack of timely hitting in games 1 and 2, and errors in game 3 lead to the Bulldogs to being swept by Northwood University. In game 1 of the series the Dawgs were down 2-1 going into the top of the 7th and manufactured a run by a lead off walk from Halm. Northwood came back in the bottom of the inning to win on a walk off single. Final score 3-2. In game 2 of the series, the Dawgs were down 5-2 in the top of the 4th, when Mead hit a 3R homerun to tie the game at 5-5. In the bottom of the inning Northwood got a run back and never gave the lead back winning the game 6-5. In game 3, the Dawgs got off to a fast start scoring 2 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, and 2 in the 3rd. However the defense couldn't hold the lead by committing 3 errors in the first two innings and allowing 7 runs. From there Northwood never looked back winning the game 11-9.

Congradulations to Kyle Mead for being the conference player of the week!

Week 21 4/15-4/21/2013
The home season was wrapped up this weekend with Michigan State winning the weekend series 2 games to 1 by winning the rubber game of the series 8-0. Game 1 was a 4-3 loss. Game 2 was a 5-4 win in extra innings (9innings) by a walk off single from Ryan Keisling and Brandon Krebs picking up the complete game win. Game 3 of the series was an 8-0 loss. Our next action will be this weekend as we travel to Northwood University in Midland.

Congradulations to Nick Halm for being the conference player of the week!

Congradulations to Brandon Krebs for being the conference pitcher of the week!

Week 20 4/8/13-4/14/2013
The Central Michigan pitching staff was able to silence the Bulldog bats this weekend at CMU swept the series winning game 1 6-2, game 2 6-0, and game 3 10-0.

Week 19 4/1/13-4/7/13
The Bulldogs had their home opener this weekend against Western Michigan. The double header on Saturday was split. WMU winning game one and Ferris winning game two. Western came back on Sunday to win the rubber game of the series.

Congradulations to Kyle Mead for being named the conference player of the week.

Week 18 3/25/13-3/31/13
The Bulldogs were off this week for the Easter Holiday

Week 17 3/18/13- 3/24/13
The weekend games against Michigan were postponded due to bad weather and bad field conditions.

Week 16 3/11/13-3/17/13
The Bulldogs completed week 3 of the NCBA Spring Training in Plant City Fl with a 1-7 record. Our record doesn't not reflect how we played throughout the week. Three of our losses to Indiana, North Dakota State, and Illinois State were by a combined 4 runs. The loss to Illinois State came in the bottom of the 7th, when Illinois State did a suicide squeeze for the winning run. The loss to Indiana, came in the bottom of the 8th inning. The lone win of our trip was against Ohio State. We beat them 10-9 in 8 innings. If we play to our capability, like we did agaisnt some good teams in Florida, we should be able to compete for a Great Lakes North conference championship. The Dawgs will be in action this upcoming weekend at the University of Michigan on Saturday and Sunday.

Congratulations to Collin Proksch for being the conference player of the week and to Tyler Desjardins on being the conference pitcher of the week.

Week 5 10/8/12-10/14/12
The Bulldogs played four games this fall and went 1-3. The first double header was against Grand Valley State University on 9-22-12. We split that series. We got back to work at practice and came out with a much better showing against Central Michigan on 9-30-12. Although we lost both games of the double header we played much better than the previous week. We have a long ways to go to be the team that we know we can be and we will be putting in a lot of hard work over the rest of the fall and winter to get ready for the season. Go Dawgs!

Week 1 9/10/12-9/16/12

We would like to thanks everyone who came out for the tryouts and it is great to see the interest in baseball in Big Rapids on the rise.
