News

First day of the Middle School season is Monday, March 20th immediately after dismissal

Athletes should change into their track clothing and report to the cafeteria where they will be met by one or more of the coaches.

The cafeteria will be locked when the athletes go to the track, it will remain locked until 5pm. This is in an effort to keep valuables secure.

We suggest everyone has a water bottle with the athlete’s name clearly and prominently marked on the bottle.

Practice will usually end by 5pm. Some athletes will remain longer and work on their secondary event. All athletes should be finished by 5:30pm. If an athlete will be practicing beyond the 5pm time they are expected to inform their parent about this.

Athletes are expected to attend all practices unless they are ill or have another after school obligation. Athletes who will miss practice should mark the availability tab on team snap and inform their coach.

The team rules are simple: adhere to all school district policies, come to practice with a good attitude, work hard, listen to your coaches, be supportive of all your teammates, be willing to fill in an event if necessary.

Please direct questions to Paul Conrad, head coach, FRMS track and field. Email address is coachconrad@aol.com.

Practices are Monday thru Friday. Each will be on the Team Snap schedule. The only time we do not have practice is when there is no school, High School has a home track Meet, or when we have a meet. It would have to be really bad stormy weather for us to cancel practice

In case you didn't catch it after practice, hurdlers we will be working on hurdle skills and start drills.  Also, sprinters and hurdlers bring your track spikes; if you don't have them yet, you don't need to run out and buy them tonight, but you should have them by next Tuesday.  Great work today!

Coach Snyder

Coach MIller would like the jumpers and sprinters  to also bring their spikes daily.

Everyone is to meet in the cafeteria at 2:45pm Monday 3-7-22.  Trainers will do their thing for registration purposes then Coaches will speak.  BRING RAIN GEAR!! Plan on being outside. I repeat, PLAN ON BEING OUTSIDE EVERYDAY.  Many March days are cold and damp so be ready.
