FYFL Banquet November 29 and 30
The annual FYFL banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday, November 30 at the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont, MD. Tickets are on sale now at the concession stand, and will be on sale through the end of the season (including playoffs and all-star game). The start time both nights is 6:00pm.
November 29 - Colts and Lions
November 30 - MSD and Packers
Ticket Prices are as follows - ADULTS $13.00, ages 7-12 $10.00, ages 3-6 $6.00. EVERYONE MUST HAVE A TICKET - NO TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Two new varsity teams are coming to the FYFL for the 2011 season - the Tuscarora Jr Titans and Middletown Knights! The competition will be even better this season with the addition of these teams! Join us in welcoming them to the league!

Practice Locations
Practice starts Monday, August 1 for all FYFL teams. The Lions will be practicing at Hill Crest Elementary School. All other teams will be practicing at Hill Street Park, which backs up to HC Elementary. Please contact your coach for practice dates and times.
If you registered online (this website)
If you registered online (on this website) you still need to come out to McCurdy Field. The registration process is not complete until you come out to McCurdy Field and get physical forms, get equipment and pay the registration fee. An athlete will NOT be placed on a team until the process is complete. We will be out at McCurdy Field August 6 from 9am-12pm.
Volunteers Needed for 2011 Season
Want to get involved in the FYFL this season, and be a part of the 50+ year tradition? There are several board member positions that are currently vacant, and additional good coaches are always needed. If you are interested, please contact the league via phone or e-mail.
About the FYFL
The Frederick Youth Football League is a non-profit organization charted to provide a positive after school program to assist our youth of Frederick County to achieve their highest potential as they develop their skill sets into caring, confident and competent individuals. Players ages 5-13*, male or female, who reside in Frederick County are eligible for play. Each season, approximately 250 children play on four varsity, junior varsity and flag teams. We are going into our 59th season, and hope you will join us for the upcoming 2011 season.

* Age cutoff is August 1st. 13 year olds entering the 9th grade are not eligible for play in FYFL. We encourage all Freshmen to play for their High School Team. *
FYFL Objective
Our objective is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence for authority so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.
To achieve this objective FYFL will provide a supervised program under the rules and regulations of the league. All directors, officers, and members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skills or the winning of game is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.
Mission Statement
Develop the fundamentals of the game of football - stance, blocking, tackling, running, throwing, catching, conditioning and sportsmanship.
Develop the fundamentals of cheerleading - cheers, chants, jumps, stunts, good health and fitness, and sportsmanship.
Establish an understanding of the commitment necessary by the parents and the athletes in order to enhance success, both on and off the field.
