As we move towards Meet the Coach Day Saturday January 27th we will be having our division drafts next week as follows:

A Few Key Changes to Local Rules

GALL 2018 Season Local Rules


1. Section V Draft and Vacancies
  • V.9 Player is limited 1 manager block per Division
2. Section X Game Times
  • X.2 AA Division weekday games no new inning may start after 2 hours and game will be called after 2 (two) hours 15 (fifteen minutes).
3. Section XII Uniforms/Eqipment
  • XII.6 Major and AAA divisions may wear helmets with face masks. Not mandatory for these divisions anymore.
4. XIV Managers, Coaches
  • XIV.3 All Manager applicants will go thru an interview process with a board-approved committee. A majority approval vote is required for approval. 
5. XVI Umpire
  • XVI.4 All A Division games will be umpired. Umpires will be scheduled from teams badged members from Major,AAA,AA, Rookie divisions.
6. XVIII League Season (Major/AAA)
  • XVIII.1   All inter-league games do not count in the division standings.
  • XVIII.2  The first place season champion is automatically determined as the GALL league representative for  City Series..
7. XIX Major/AAA/AA Division rules
  • XIX.1/2 No longer is it required that a pitcher can only pitch a maximum of 6 innings per week. They are subject to Little League pitching rule limitations.
8. XXI A (Farm) Division Rules
  • Catcher is no longer considered being a position of the outfield.
9. XXIII Tournament Team Player Selection
  • XXIII.2 11 Year Old Tournament team – Major Division ten (10), and eleven (11) year olds must declare for 11 or 12 year old tournament ballot not both. If not then default to the 10-year-old ballot. If they declare for a specific age group and do not get selected they are not eligible to be on any other tournament team. 
  • XXIII.310 Year Old Tournament team –AAA (Foothill) Division ten (10) year olds are eligible for the 10 Year Old Tournament team and AAA (Foothill) Division Nine (9) year olds must declare for 10 year old tournament ballot. If not then they default to the 9 year old ballot. If they declare for a specific age group and do get selected they are not eligible to be on any other tournament team.
  • XXIII.6 Any player selected to the 6/7, 8/9, 10,11,12 GALL all star team’s parents need to sign that they must be 100% available to participate in any scheduled tournament. If they miss more than 25% of events, practice, games they will not be eligible for an all-star team the following year.
  • XXIII.7  Any player selected to the 6/7, 8/9, 10, 11,12 GALL all-star teams must pay a $50 deposit to work one (1) volunteer position for a hosted GALL all-star tournament.
  • All-Star Team announcements will be made at Closing Ceremonies.
10. XXIV Tournament Team Manager Selection


  • XXIV.2  The Manager of First place team with in each division has right of first refusal and then descends in standings order for the Tournament team, 11,10, two 9/8 teams and 6/7 team

A Letter from the G.A.L.L. President

Snack Bar Deposit

Glendora American Little League families, my name is David Gerber and I am the President for the upcoming 2018 season.

As you all are aware, Glendora American is a non-profit, volunteer-run, league. It takes many people and lots of support from the many parents and families within our community to organize and execute a league for 400 plus boys and girls in an efficient way. 

Over the past few years we have encountered many times where we were short of volunteers to facilitate the many operations and services we provide to have a fun, successful, year. The most notable service that has been affected is the snack bar.

I know everyone enjoys visiting our snack bar when at the fields, with our guests enjoying the many items we offer. Some of you may not know, but at the end of last year we had to shut down completely or shut down a portion of the operation due to not having volunteer support. There were many times when we paid teens and adults just to stay open.  The Board will also be working  with the team managers and team moms to try to coordinate scheduling within their respective teams.

Due to the shortage of volunteer help, the Board has voted to increase the snack bar deposit from $50 to $100 per player for working a single shift per child. As registration is just around the corner, I wanted to let everyone know about the increase so it is not a surprise once you begin the process of signing up.

It is our hope that we will gain more volunteers and return the deposit than that of buyouts and no shows allowing us to have a full service operating the snack bar throughout the year.

As a parent and volunteer, I can attest that working a shift can be quite rewarding. Meeting new parents and families, along with seeing and talking with all my kid's friends and many others I have coached over the years makes for a quick few hours. It allows you to be a part of your kid’s lives beyond just the games. I hope that we can count on all your support and help this coming year, as it truly takes an army of great people to have the success we do.
