On behalf of the Boards of Directors for the Ash/West, Gardner & Winchendon youth hockey associations we would like to take this opportunity to update you on the pending merger of the organizations.  The executive boards from all three programs met last night with the Mass Hockey district representatives and outlined the next steps necessary  for us to complete the pending merger.  The proposal is that we all meet individually with our current members (Ash-West, Gardner and Winchendon) on the 22nd of May at the Colonial Hotel at 7 pm , and approve the final treasurer’s reports and minutes presented by the programs.  We will then present to each group what we have been working on in order to fully merge the three into North Central MA Youth Hockey, as originally anticipated last season.  If we all vote to move forward as one group, we will then join together  to hold our first North Central meeting where we will vote in a new 12 member board of directors consisting of 4 representatives from each of the three previous organizations.  
 
If all goes as planned, we should be able to move forward into next season as one organization.  This will provide you with better communications for games and practice times, a more unified board with a greater ability to address questions and concerns for all players, parents & coaches, and hopefully offer additional programs and fundraising opportunities for your children.
The agenda will be as follows:
 
Ash-West, Gardner and Winchendon Youth Hockey meetings to commence individually on May 22, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Colonial Hotel.
 
NCMYH meeting to take place immediately following the close of the individual meetings.
 
* Election of officers for NCMYH
* Approval of Bylaws for NCMYH  
* Jersey sizing and numbers selection  
* Coaching announcements to be made  
* Tuition rate to be set  
* Open Board meeting for new business
* Close meeting and go into executive session
