Purpose of Goal Settings... As you
think about your personal mission in sports, you should answer three
critical questions:
1.) Why do you play?
2.) What would you like people
to say about you and the way you played
the game?
3.)What do you want to accomplish in your sport?
Answering why you play is critical because when you know why you play
sports it will help you battle through the hardships that are inevitable
with seeking excellence in sport. When answering why you play, try to
get as specific as possible. Answering that “it is fun” is too vague.
Answering “I love the competition of going head-to-head against another
competitor, the camaraderie of the team, and the challenge to be great”
Is much more specific and will provide you with more motivation.
When you answer what you would like people to say about you, you’ll
probably answer, “I’m a hard worker, I’m a great team player, and I’m
the kind of player that never quit.” Once you decide what you would want
people to say about you, you must do those things everyday. If you want
to be remembered as a person that worked extremely hard, you must work
extremely hard today.

Titans - Start Strong First Tournament, First Championship
Fayetteville,
Georgia-
Our Titans kicked off their 2009 Spring Tournament schedule
at the Fletcher Baseball Pre-Season Classic 2009 tournament.
The boys started the season off with hot bats, grinding pitching and defense, and much
character. The Titans jumped out early in the first game, and the bats were on fire, taking
the early lead, and never looking back. The next game found the Titans leading the game by
6 runs. A short stint of walked batters, coupled with fielding errors rattled the Titans and the
score was tied. Each team took the lead over until the last inning, where the score remained
tied at 10 going into bracket play.
The Titans, seeded 2nd in the tournament, faced a strong pitcher in the starting ace from the PCB Panthers. The game was a nail biter until the fifth,
when a few key hits, agressive base running, and a couple of miscues left the pitcher rattled,
and PCB had to change pitchers. The Titans kept up their streak of hits and manufactured a
rally to capture the victory in the last inning, securing the first berth to the Championship
game for the boys. The Titans won convincingly over the Centerfield Storm, capturing the first victory for the year.
Tournament Results - Champions!
Titans vs. PTC Panthers - Win 14-5
Titans vs. GA Academy- Tie 10-10
Titans vs. PTC Panthers - Win 7-6

Titans Philosophy
We strive to teach and train our players the skills and
knowledge of the game of baseball. We focus on the fundamentals and hard
work needed to participate in competition. We also stress the importance of
representing the Titans in a manner that will exemplify sportsmanship and
"fair play." On and off the field, our best effort will be expected at all
times. We will carry ourselves "proud" and our actions will show to
ourselves and others that we are pleased to be part of the Titans Baseball
Family. It is imperative that the Titans baseball athlete develops an
attitude that he will work to his fullest potential. By creating an
environment of intense training, we as coaches and you as athletes will join
together to prepare you for success as baseball players, good students, and
honorable young men. As players you will be guaranteed a stronger
appreciation of the game and new belief in yourself of what you can
accomplish with hard work. If we all challenge ourselves to strive high, the
reward will come in the form of our many goals.
