The Saturday Night High School Recreational Basketball League!

The details:
League games will begin Saturday April 14, 2012 and will continue through Saturday June 16 (including playoffs).
Cost $70 per person; please make checks payable to GRYBL

The league is open to all boys and girls who are Glen Rock residents and are currently in 9th through 12 grade.

Boys and girls teams will be separate.

Each team will be made up of players in each class year.

The teams will be self- governed by a team captain and co-captain. The captains will be selected by the league commissioner. The co-captains will be selected by each team’s players.

The teams will be selected by the team captains by a draft.

Each evening there will be two adult volunteers in each gym to supervisor behavior and to ensure that the teams adhere to the same playing time rules applicable to the younger rec leagues.

All games will be officiated by referees from the same officiating service used by the younger rec leagues.

Games will be played in the Middle School and the High School gyms. Play in the High School gym will end when Grad Ball construction begins.

Following the completion of the games on each night, the gyms will be available to all 9-12 graders for pick-up half-court basketball until 10:45.

We are looking for a group of adult volunteers to be supervisors and to participate on an advisory board.

With enough volunteer supervisors, no one person will be asked to serve on more than two or three Saturday nights.
