Girls on the Run is a life-changing, non-profit prevention program that uses the power of running to help prepare preteen and early teen girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program focuses on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health, recognizing that every girl is special, that every girl is strong, that every girl is a winner. During each 10 or 12-week program, girls are empowered with a greater self-awareness, a sense of achievement and a foundation in team building to help them become strong, joyful, healthy, and self-confident young women. Oh, and we train together to complete a 5K race near the end of our season, too!

- GOTR has Charity Entries for the 2012 Chicago Marathon! Registration for the 2012 Chicago Marathon closed in record time, so if you missed open registration, GOTR can get you in! Just sign up to participate as a SoleMate. Click here to learn more and to register. Be sure to identify Girls on the Run of Hunterdon, Bucks & Warren Counties as the council to whom your fundraising dollars should be directed. Specifically, enter our council information in the following prompt boxes, as follows: “This registration assumes all athletes are participating on behalf of Girls on the Run - Chicago. If you prefer to run on behalf of another council, please enter the information below.”

- TMB Racing has chosen Girls on the Run of Hunterdon, Bucks & Warren Counties as their charity partner for the JerseyMan Sprint Distance Triathlon on Saturday, May 19! Race entry fees will be waived for our first 5 SoleMates to register for the event, and our council will earn the proceeds from the event in exchange for race-day volunteers! - Share your passion for empowering girls by becoming a Girls on the Run coach! We are currently accepting applications for coaches for our spring 2012 season. Descriptions of our coaching requirements are outlined on the Coaching Opportunities page, where you will also find the volunteer application. Please consider joining our team of remarkable coaches to provide an incredible Girls on the Run experience to the girls in your community.
- Our Spring Season Kick-Off Meeting for ALL Returning Coaches has been scheduled! Returning coaches should plan to join us on Monday, March 5 from 7:00-8:30 pm at the Hunterdon County Senior Center.
