About GT United Soccer

GT United was created to provide a competitive youth soccer experience without the commitment that many other soccer clubs require. We understand that for many families, soccer must coexist with other priorities (family, church, school, other sports, etc.). GT United teams are managed with that idea in mind. GT United players are trained by experienced and licensed coaches and trainers who understand how to work with players at this competitive level.
- Practices are held at the Cordova Middle School soccer field
- No club administration/overhead = Reduced costs
- Reasonable time/travel commitment
- Limited Tournaments with emphasis on local or regional trips
GT United teams are built with players from all over the Mid-South area. Boys from Collierville, Germantown, Cordova, Desoto County and other areas in Shelby County make up the GT United teams. GT United teams are affiliated with Koinonia Soccer Association.
GT United Partners with Tetra Brazil
GT United is excited to announce our partnership with TetraBrazil Soccer Academy. For many years, TetraBrazil has conducted soccer camps in the Memphis area, now, in addition to their camps, these same Brazilian 'A' licensed trainers will be providing exciting Brazilian-style training exclusively for GT United teams on a year-round basis.
The GT United partnership with Tetra Brazil will provide GT United teams with year-round instruction from professional Brazilian 'A' licensed instructors, trainers and player development specialists. These trainers will work with GT United teams year-round to teach them how to play soccer the 'Brazilian-way'.
TetraBrazil training emphasizes the development of players technically, tactically, physically and psychologically so they will enjoy the game for the rest of their lives. With Brazilian techniques, GT United players will enhance their ability and develop winning skills and techniques that will make the difference. TetraBrazil teaches "the art of soccer by five-time world champions".
Working with TetraBrazil trainers and coaches will give our teams a unique advantage while still allowing GT United to provide competitive soccer at a lower cost/time commitment than most clubs in the area. This addition to our training portfolio is a great value for the level of instruction that will be provided.
TetraBrazil provides professional, comprehensive, high quality soccer training with FIFA recognized “A” Licensed Brazilian Soccer Coaches for clubs and leagues. TetraBrazil professional coaches customize a training program, run all training sessions and attend all games throughout the entire season for GT United teams.
They provide a variety of customized soccer services specific design to meet the needs of our club. TetraBrazil in partnership with our club will:
* Run Soccer Camps, Team Clinics, World Cup Series for our club at a special package price.
* Customize a training program, run all training sessions and attend all games throughout the entire season.
* Conduct player evaluations (beginning, middle, end of season)
* Conduct multiple training sessions for coaches on a weekly basis
* Interface with club president and team manager on coaching issues
* Participate in club social activities and public events
* Follow club and league policies.
