Rabinowitz Field Closing
On Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 9 a.m we will be shutting the fields at Rabinowitz down for the winter and we need your help.
Closing Procedure involves the following:
1. Removal of all batting cages/nets
2. Outfield signs to be taken down & put away
3. Netting off the fields
4. All other equipment put away
5. Removal of all dug out covers
6. Other jobs as assigned by board members
The more people that come out and help the faster we will be able to get done - estimating about 4 hours.
Also, ALL BASEBALL EQUIPMENT that you have from Spring, Summer or Fall baseball MUST BE RETURNED during those hours. Please see Mike Caruso, Tom Tierno or Ken Mair for equipment return.

General Membership Meetings
General Membership Meetings: 4th Monday of every month (excl. June, July, Nov & Dec) at the Lions Lake Community Center, January through March - 8:00 p.m. April through October - 8:30 p.m., (Coaches Meetings are Mandatory)
Managers & Coaches Requirements for 2009
GVAA Managers/Coaches fee for 2009 is $25.00 which includes shirt, insurance, membership, Rutgers Course & voting rights. To pay send $25.00 payable to GVAA, P.O. Box 717, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
Voting Rights -General members may pay $15.00 for voting rights by September 26, 2009.
Only Managers & Coaches, 18 years or older, whose membership are current are allowed on the field with players.
Completion of the Rutgers Safety Course for Volunteer Coaches- The course was held on Saturday, March 14, 2009. If you were unable to attend, please go to Rutgers Youth Sports. to find another location for the course. GVAA will reimburse you for the costs of the course.

Outfield Signs*: $200.00 to purchase a new outfield sign to be hung on the outfield fences at Rabinowitz Field. Renewals $150.00. Again, this is a great way to expand your business and at the same time support the GVAA. If interested, please email Mick Geis at mick_geis@msn.com.

Mandatory Certification for ALL GVAA Coaches!
Babe Ruth League, Inc. has developed a mandatory course for ALL GVAA coaches that must be completed before the start of the Spring 2009 season.
