In preparation of the 2017 season we would like to update our Greenville West Side Babe Ruth Baseball family.  As some of you may have known, our President Mr. Patrick Sandford has resigned upon the completion of the 2016 season.  We are grateful for Mr. Sandford’s dedication and time as president.  With that said, we as an organization need to plan and work towards the 2017 season.  We are coming off a historic season in which we won two All-Star Titles and were one step from the Babe Ruth World Series.

How can we continue with this success?  It won’t be easy it’s going take time, effort, and communication.  Luckily it is only November and I believe we can have a seamless transition.  The first step is to establish our direction.  This direction will be established with the collective input from our volunteers, coaches, and parents.  During this time of reorganization, I have been nominated to serve as the interim president.  As the interim president I will be the point person for our league.  Now I would like to introduce myself.  Most of you know me, but for those who don’t my name is Andrew Rakoski (AKA Coach Red).  I am a former player of Greenville West Side, and have coached here for the last four years.  I am excited to take on another role here at Greenville West Side and look forward to another outstanding season.

An outstanding season will take work though and it will require participation from everyone.  In the coming weeks there will be more information being sent out regarding meetings for our returning team, coaches, and parents.  My goal is to establish an open line of communication and incorporate new talent into our Greenville West Side family.  We are seeking volunteers for both administrative positions as well as coaches.  You don’t need to know baseball to be a valuable asset to our organization.

What to expect in the coming weeks?

·       New redesigned website that will accept online registration and significantly improve communication

·       Registration dates

·       Fundraising details with dates of our upcoming events

·       Questionnaire to understand any concerns or suggestions from our previous season

Thank you for your time and I look forward to working together for 2017.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Andrew Rakoski
