Alli Perez. Alli is the daughter of Rick and Connie Perez and is escorted tonight by her mom and dad. Alli has been a member of the Lady Buffs volleyball program for four years. Academically, Alli has maintained a 90.7 gpa and is currently ranked 154 of 549 and has been academic all district the past two seasons. She is a member of Haltom Singers and the Link Crew. After high school Alli will attend college where she will major in vocal performance and music therapy.
Brigette Small is our next senior. Brigette is the daughter of Darryl and Kelly Small and is escorted tonight by her parents and brother (DJ) and sister Courtney. As a utility player Brigette is a very important part of the Lady Buff volleyball answering the call to play multiple positions this year. Brigette has been a part of the Lady Buffs volleyball program for four years and is also actively involved in the HHS choir program. Academically Brigette has been named to the Academic All District Team the past two seasons. She maintains a gpa of 99.7, is ranked 29 out of 549 and in the top 10% of her class. In the future Brigette will continue on to college where she will earn her degree and is considering entering into the field of Dentistry.
Sarah Kilian is the daughter of Patty Rymer and Tim Kilian and is escorted tonight by her mother, stepfather Don Rymer and father Tim. Sarah is a three year letter winner for the Lady Buffs volleyball and a four year letter winner for the soccer team. Sarah has been Academic All District for the past three seasons maintaining a gpa of 97.1 and is currently ranked 49 out of 549 and in the top 10% of her class. She is a member of Link Crew, Student Council, National Honor Society and the Senior Class president. Next year Sarah will attend the University of Texas at Arlington where she will prepare for a career in nursing eventually becoming a nurse practitioner.
Taylor Dangerfield is our next senior. Taylor is the daughter of Terry and Chaneka Dangerfield and is escorted tonight by her parents and sister Keosha. As a middle blocker Taylor is a two year letter winner for the Lady Buffs. She is also a part of the HHS basketball and track programs. Taylor has been Academic All District the past two seasons has a gpa of 96.9 and is ranked 63 out of 549. Taylor has received 2nd team All District Honors for basketball. Outside of school Taylor plays AAU basketball. Next year she will continue on to college playing basketball for the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where she will major in psychology.
Breana Blackburn is the daughter of Melony and Bobby Blackburn and is escorted tonight by her parents and sister Lauryn. As an outside hitter & setter Bre is a three year letter winner for the volleyball team and participated in track her freshman and sophomore seasons. She has been named academic all district the past three years as well as, being named 2nd team all district for the 2012 season and HaltomHigh School’s offensive player of the year for past two seasons. Bre is a member National Honor Society, currently holding a 92.9 GPA and ranked 102 in her class. Bre is also an active member of the Haltom Singers. Outside of school she plays volleyball for Tejas Volleyball Club. Although she is still undecided where she will attend Bre will continue playing volleyball in college and major in psychology.
Kelee Teague is the daughter of Dwayne and Wendy Teague and is escorted tonight by her parents. Kelee is an outside hitter and three year member of the Lady Buffs varsity volleyball team. As a Lady Buff she earned Outstanding Sophomore, Acadmic All District for three seasons and in 2012 was awarded the 3D award for Dedication, Determination, and Desire. Academically Kelee holds a 95.3 gpa and is currently ranked 72 out of 549. Kelee is also a member of PALS, Link Crew, National Honor Society and is the senior class vice president. Outside of school Kelee cheers competitively with Texas Star, is active in her youth group. She attends mission trips and participates in Haltom City sting operations. Next year Kelee will attend TexasTechUniversity majoring in forensic science, continue to cheer and be a part of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Our next senior is Ainise Havili. Ainise is the daughter of Moses and Mele Havili and is escorted tonight by her parents. Ainise is a four year letter winner with the Lady Buffs volleyball team and participated in basketball and track her freshman and sophomore years. Ainise was named District 6-5A Newcomer of the Year in 2010, FirstTeamAllDistrict2011 and 2012, Haltom High Schools Volleyball MVP in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Academically she is ranked 62 with a gpa of 96.1. She has earned Academic All District Honors the last three years and is a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school Ainise plays volleyball for TAV where she was a member of the team that won the National Championship this summer at the USA Volleyball Junior Nationals and was named MVP of the tournament. Following high school Ainise will continue her volleyball career at the University of Kansas where she will major in Kinesiology.
Marce Seeders O’Donoghue is the daughter of Danny Seeders and Karen Seeders and is escorted tonight by her parents. Marce is a two year letter winner for the Lady Buffs as well as being a member of the track and soccer teams. Marce also played for the Lady Buffs softball team and basketball teams her freshmen and sophomore years. Marce has earned academic All District Honors the past two seasons. She currently holds a 93.0 gpa and is ranked 100 out of 549. When she is not on the volleyball court or soccer field you can usually find Marce somewhere with Jade and Danielle being the “best aunt ever” Marce will attend college and pursue a degree in business. She would never tell you this, but Marce is a really cheery person.
Our last senior tonight is Miss Alexis Wilburn. Alexis is the daughter of Shelia McGowen and is escorted tonight by her mother, her sister Asia and nephew Cayden. Alexis has served a vital role for the Lady Buffs the last three years. She has served as equipment manager, statistician, tutor, coach’s assistant and assistant coach. Alexis is also a four year letter winner in track & field and a two year member of the Lady Buffs Basketball program. Academically she currently holds a 95.2 gpa, is ranked 73 of 549 and a member of the National Honor Society and HOSA. Outside of school Alexis is very active with her club track team. After high school she will attend BaylorUniversity where she will major is medicine and someday become a pediatrician.
Seniors, your coaching staff and teammates would like to thank your for the countless hours of practice time, your spirit, and dedication to the lady buffs volleyball program. We wish you the best of luck in your futures. You have earned a place in our hearts and will truly be missed.
