HORSEMEN PARTICIPATE WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AT STRONG ROCK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
The Henry County Horsemen volunteered to support Habitat for Humanity on Saturday October 31st, 2009! We believe in all good causes and this is a worth wild cause we as an organization believes in! It was a great experience however rain shorten the event! The Horsemen are looking for more community events to partner with!
HENRY COUNTY HORSEMEN CLAIM 1ST LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2ND YEAR OF TEAM 9-6
THE UNITED SOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE CROWNS THE HENRY COUNTY HORSEMEN AS LEAGUE CHAMPIONS WITH A COME FROM BEHIND VICTORY OVER THE CHATTANOOGA STEAM 9-6 AS THE HORSEMEN SCORE WITH 46 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF A TIGHTLY CONTESTED GAME! THE HORSEMEN DEFENSE REALLY PLAYED WELL LIMITING THE STEAM OFFENSE TO 1 SCORE! THE OFFENSE MADE MANY PLAYS HOWEVER DIDN'T PUT THE BALL IN THE ENDZONE UNTIL THE FINAL MINUTE OF THE GAME! HORSEMEN QB THEO MAXIE WAS NAMED GAME MVP! MORE TO COME SOON!
HORSEMEN ADVANCE TO USFL SUPERBOWL WITH WIN OVER UNDEFEATED SOUTH GEORGIA WARRIORS
The South Georgia Warriors were undefeated when they hosted the Henry County Horsemen to determine the South Conference representative in the USFL Championship game! In 2 years the South Georgia Warriors have now lost only 2 games, both against the Horsemen! This was be our toughest test thus far! It was a defensive battle as many Horsemen contributed to this win! Both scores came in the 1st half as Derrick Arrington nailed 2 FG's for the only scoring in the game! The defense held there 2nd straight playoff opponent scoreless in these playoffs!
HORSEMEN WIN BATTLE OF HENRY COUNTY 16-0
Last time Horsemen won 27-7 for the Division crown. This time with the stakes a little higher the Horsemen defeat a very game Atlanta Prime by the score of 16-0 to advance to the south division championship game! The DEFENSE played lights out football and the offensive unit was lead by the offensive line! Great job all around guys!
HORSEMEN CAPTURE 2ND STRAIGHT DIVISON CHAMPIONSHIP WITH WIN VS ATLANTA PRIME
This was expected to be a great contest when the Henry County Horsemen squared off vs the Atlanta Prime and it didn't disappoint the Horsemen fans. This game was for the division crown as both teams came into this game with identical records at 7 wins and 2 losses! The Horsemen quickly started to take control with 2 1st quarter TD on passes from QB Theo Maxie! The defense played huge as they didn't allow a TD in this game! More to come after film review!
HORSEMEN DEFEAT MACON CRUSH 35-14
Horsemen traveled tor Roberta, GA. and defeated a very inspired Georgia Crush squad by the score of 35-14! More to come on this after film review!
HORSEMEN AND HEAT TAKE TOLL ON UNDERMANED BUT GAME BUFF'S 45-0
Depleted Montgomery Buffaloes aren't any match for the Henry County Horsemen nor a very hot Atlanta evening! The Horsemen would like to give a special thanks to Strong Rock Christian School and their Athletic Staff for seeing us through our 1st home regular season and through last night's game! more to come on this game after film review!
HORSEMEN GET BACK ON TRACK AGAINST GEORGIA KNIGHTS
The Henry County Horsemen get back on track against the Georgia Knights by the score of 44-0! The Horsemen played in the Coaches eyes a well played complete 4 quarters of football to get the win! James Riley was named game MVP! More to come after film review! Great job team!
RENEGADES REMAIN UNDEFEATED WINNING ON LAST PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE
Remember this "Horsemen don't expect this one to be easy!" The very impressive W. Georgia Renegades came to Henry County and continued to stay united and believed in themselves to the final seconds came off the clock to leave with a very impressive and heroic last second win 16-14 over the Henry County Horsemen! As usual when you lose you are able to identify mistakes made on the football field and problems within the organizations! Mistakes on the field of play can be corrected and coached, however problems with attitude will not be tolerated they will be eliminated! Outstanding performances Jermaine Allen, James Williams, Tabaris Johnson, Chad Burrell, Edward Aside, Theo Maxie, Gene Wesley, Brandon Shelby, and Derrick Maxie! Please be at practice on Tuesday and Thursday full gear!
HORSEMEN TAKE THE BITE OUT OF THE CLASSIC CITY TIGERS 35-7!
The Henry County Horsemen defeated the Classic City Tigers from Athens, Ga. by the score of 35-7! More to come after film review!
HORSEMEN DEFENSE DOMINATE SOUTH GEORGIA STARS
Henry County Horsemen defense dominates South Georgia Stars 39-0! The Horsemen defense post 3rd shutout in 4 games! The defense accounted for 4 interceptions, 4 sacks, TONS OF PRESSURE on all Stars QB, and many big hits! The offense also played very well! Outstanding performers were once again Theo Maxie, Byron Wilson, Terry McClain, Donnell Burns, Brandon Shelby, Gene Wesley, on offense and on that big Defense DeAnthony Weems, Chad Burrell, Jermaine Allen, Kenny Arnold Jr.,Reginald Pollard, Omar Mathis, Travis Willis and Tony Jones just to name a few! Let's have a solid practice on Tuesday!
HORSEMEN DEFEAT GAINESVILLE GLADIATORS 37 to 0
The Henry County Horsemen rebounded well vs the Gainesville Gladiators who were perfect on the young season at 2-0 with a big win in a divisional game by the score of 37-0! Outstanding performances by Theo Maxie, Terry McClain, Brandon Shelby, Omar Mathis, Hakeen Scruggs, Reginald Pollard, Jermaine (Hard Hitting) Allen! The Horsemen coaching staff was very please at the way the entire team prepared and bounced bad from a tuff loss the week before! Final roster to be announced! More on this story to come! OVERTIME TURNOVER DOOM HORSEMEN VS X-TREME 20-14
Last years USFL Championship Game rematch was won by Georgia X-Treme 20-14 as the X-treme defense returned 1 int's for TD and 2nd interception set up another TD. Even in a tuff loss against a high quality team the Horsemen had several players turn in outstanding performances led by Terry McClain, Jermaine Allen, DeAnthony Weems, Jonathon George, and Theo Maxie! Good job X-Treme we plan to see you on the later!
HORSEMEN SHUT OUT GEORGIA RAGG'N BULLS 30-0
The 2009 football season kicked off as the Henry County Horsemen hosted the Georgia Raggin Bulls. The game started with the defense taking the field to face the very experienced Raggin Bulls to 3 and out! On the Horsemen 1st offensive drive they scored thir 1st 3 points of the season when Derrick Arrington connected on a 25 FG. There points was set up by game MVP Brandon Shelby's tuff running! The Horsemen next score came when Brandon Shelby took the handoff at the Horsemen 40 yard line and raced 60 yards for the TD Horsemen 10-0 at the half! The 2nd half started much like the 1st as QB Donnell Burns connected with WR Tramelle Riley for a 14 yard TD pass! The Horsemen next score came as QB Theo Maxie connected with WR Byron Wilson for 80 yard reception to Bulls 2 yardline! RB Gene Wesley score on the next play and Orlando Smith finished the scoring with a 15 yard TD run. Other outstanding performances turned by DeAnthony Weems, Chad Burrell, Terry McClain, Jonathon George, Hakeen Scruggs, Derrick Maxey, Jamaine Allen, Tony Jones, Edward Aside, just to name a few. The coaching staff thought it was a good team performance!
