What do we do in case of Bad Weather?

Do not assume a practice or a game is cancelled just because the weather is inclement.

Games can only be called by a referee and teams are expected to show up at the field.


Cancellations for practices will be decided by the coach.

So if you are looking a place to play recreational soccer, Hamburg Community Soccer Club has a GREAT recreational program at affordable fees.

The HCSC Recreation Soccer Program counts on parent volunteer coaches to hold practices and run games.

Volunteer coaches are needed and always welcome.

•Coach Experience is not needed for this position; however, enthusiasm, patience, and dependability are a must. This fun and rewarding position. Responsible for guiding and assisting young children as they learn valuable lessons such as teamwork, and sportsmanship. Duties include planning and carrying out practices once or twice a week and games. Must possess a sense of humor and be willing to have fun. Equipment provided. Volunteer (male or female) must be 18 years of age and apply for a Risk Management background check. We help you through the process.
•Assistant Coach Same as coach.

Lil' Strikers instructional program sessions begins on or around September 20th.

Recreational teams will start being formed mid to late August 2011.

To check on player assignments log into your account using the Member Login tab.

In the account options open the past registration tab.

Team information is located in the Category Assignment box. The first letter refers to gender, the 2nd indicates the program and the number is the team #, i.e. BA3 or GD2.

For recreational players: volunteer coaches will be provided your information and will make contact with you as to when they will begin practice. Volunteer coaches select the time and day of their practice and is subject to change.

Practices usually do not start until 1 or 2 weeks before the first game.

First games begin on or around September 17, 2011

All HCSC outdoor activities and home games are held at West Bennett Park (Merrill fields) one of the finest soccer complexes in Livingston County. HCSC takes great pride that we have been able to help develop and maintain this soccer complex since it's establishment.
Hamburg Rush '01 and '96 boys teams win the Michigan Club Challenge Tournament
Both the Hamburg Rush '01 Nike and ’96 boys’ soccer teams enjoyed a successful weekend April 29-May 1st. They brought home the championship in their appropriate age divisions of the Michigan Club Challenge tournament. Read More
No slowing down for the Hamburg Rush '96 boys team!
The Hamburg Rush ‘96 boys’ soccer team participated in the 2011 Novi Jaguar Invitational the weekend of May 6-8th. This tournament draws fierce competition from all over the state of Michigan as well teams from far away as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Read More
Success at Canton Cup
Despite the wet weather, the Canton Cup Soccer Tournament provide positive outcomes for the following Hamburg teams:
  • Hamburg United Rush '01 boys Finalists
  • Hamburg United Rush '99 boys CHAMPIONS!!!! "The Hamburg Rush U12 boys team captured the 2011 Canton Cup trophy in the Blue division going undefeated with 3 wins and no losses. The Rush out scored opponents 12 to 5 en route to their first place finish. Fantastic job boys, keep up the good work. Go Rush!!!" See team photo
  • Hamburg United Rush '96 boys Finalists
  • Hamburg United HSO boys.

A hard fought game between the Hamburg HSO team and the HSO team from CW3 Extreme resulted in a disappointing advancement to the finals for Hamburg's HSO team. The Hamburg '01, '99 and '96 boys teams all won their flights and had advanced to the finals.

The Canton Cup Soccer Tournament finals had been cancelled due to field conditions brought on by the wet conditions Mother Nature provided during the tournament. Final determination by the administrators of the Canton Cup provided the above listed results. Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and determination!

HCSC News Up-date
On July 5, 2011, the Hamburg Township Board of Trustees voted to accept Hamburg Community Soccer Club’s park permit application for the time period of August 1, 2011 to Dec 1, 2011. The renewal of HCSC’s park usage permit is greatly appreciated.

We are very proud that HCSC will again be given the opportunity to host tryouts for the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program (ODP) the weekends of July 30th-July 31st and August 6th-7th, 2011. Last year, over 1800 players from all over the State of Michigan participated during those two week-ends. Their presence helped support our community by visiting local establishments for their lodging, dining and shopping needs. A special Thank You to the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program for choosing HCSC!
