2012 REGISTRATION
Registration is now closed. Look for an email towards the end of the school year announcing the dates and times for equipment issue.
OUR LEAGUE
We are part of the Upper Chesapeake Youth Football League. Go to BULLETIN BOARD for more information.
RULES AND PROGRAM CHANGES FOR THE 2012 UCFYL
1. Rule Change: There will no longer be a younger but heavier. Weight limits for tackle to tackle are now unlimited. What this means is if there is a heavy 10 year old he does not have to play up to 11U as a younger but heavier. He can play at his age group but must be identified as tackle to tackle for the year.
2. Rule Change: 8U will now play on a regulation sized football field with 10 minute timed quarters.
3. New Programs: Edgewood/Joppatowne Steelers have split to make a new program. The Joppatowne Seahawks. They will most likely end up as a Gold Division team with Edgewood staying in the Blue Division. Perry Hall and Towson were voted in to be part of our league. Perry Hall will put two age groups in across the board. They will have teams in the Blue and White Divisions. Towson will have one team per age group and will have teams in the Gold Division.
7 on 7 FLAG FOOTBALL
Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club is having a spring 7 vs 7 flag football league. It is structured much like the 7 vs 7 passing leagues at the high school level. Age groups will be 8-10 year olds and 11-13 year olds. Cost is $15.00 per child plus each team will have to purchase flags. Games will start in April and will be done in mid May. Games will be played on Tuesday evenings at either the Aberdeen or Edgewood Boys and Girls Clubs. If anyone is interested please contact the Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club.
BOARD MEETINGS
Held the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm at the HdG Activity Center. Meeting is open to all.
