HF-L Youth Lacrosse Philosophy
Hard! Fast! Strong!
Our youth program was developed under the philosophy of the importance of being a good person, first and foremost, then a good student and then a good lacrosse player. Commitment to family and school come before the commitment to lacrosse. Our players are taught to be respectful to their coaches, teammates and to conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times and especially when representing our league at games. Our parents are expected to conduct themselves with restraint on the sidelines and to cheer in a positive manner. HF-L Youth Lacrosse is a developmental league and the expectation is that each player will have the opportunity to improve his or her lacrosse skills during the course of the season.
HF-L Youth Lacrosse Information
Season: The youth lacrosse season generally runs from mid March through mid June. This is considered a travel league due to the fact that the teams we play are located in other towns.
Teams: We have league teams for boys and girls and the teams are divided by grade level (Boys 1st/2nd grade, Boys 3rd/4th grade, Boys 5th/6th grade, Girls 1st/2nd grade, Girls 3rd/4th grade, Girls 5th/6th grade).
Equipment: HF-L Youth Lacrosse supplies protective equipment to each player. For boys this includes a helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards and gloves. For girls this includes goggles. Players may use their own protective equipment. Each player needs to provide his or her own lacrosse stick and mouth guard.
