Our Team The Hotspur is affiliated with the Chantilly Soccer Club (CSC) of Fairfax County in Northern Virginia. We compete seasonally in the Washington Area Girls League (WAGS) in Division One. The Hotspur has also recently joined the Football Club of Virginia (FC Virginia) family and is proud to represent them as one of the few elite clubs in the nation to participate in the prestigious Elite Clubs National League (formerly the Red Bull Girls National League).
The ECNL unites the top Girls U15, U16 and U17 teams from across the country in the spirit of true competition and elite player development. The Hotspur are excited to represent FC Virginia as the U15 Virginia ECNL Team. “Our goal is to help every player in our club get the best possible training and preparation for college soccer, and I believe there is no better way to be seen by college scouts than through the ECNL events.” Coach Carolyn Rice.

Our Philosophy: Our overall team philosophy is to focus on having fun. We believe that players have the most fun when they are able to play the game at a high level, achieve goals of which they can be proud and establish fast friendships with their teammates. The coaching staff is dedicated to creating a non-threatening, but disciplined, learning environment that encourages creativity and personal growth and responsibility. Our philosophy incorporates the overall CSC Travel Soccer philosophy of focusing on sportsmanship, player development, enjoyment and learning, while playing at a highly competitive level and developing more capable soccer players. Our approach also involves age-appropriate conditioning with ongoing skill and tactical drills, each with a deliberate intent to teach a specific aspect of the game. We want the girls to learn different skills and positions, while taking advantage of the team dynamics and individual player’s strengths.
When athletes look back upon their "careers", it is the friendships, the camaraderie of shared achievement, that they remember most fondly. We want our daughters to have those memories.
