Harrington Parks & Recreation Department Procedure
EVENING REGISTRATIONS WILL BE TAKEN AT THE REC CENTER ON JULY 6th, 10th, 12th, 17th & 19th FROM 6-7:30PM.
*All accounts and registration fees from past or current programs must be in good standing in order to register for a new program.
*If any registrations are accepted after the deadline, there will be a $10 late fee per participant applied. This applies to all programs.

Fall Outdoor Youth Field Hockey
Registrations for Fall Outdoor Youth Field Hockey begins on July 3, 2017. This is an instructional program for grades K-5 to be held at W.T. Chipman Middle School on Sunday evenings from August 27th through October 1st. Time TBD. Each session will consist of instruction time and scrimmages. Cost: $50.
Harrington Heritage Day
Heritage Day is Saturday, August 26, 2017. Vendor registrations are currently being accepted. Spaces are open to craft, non- food vendors, and information booths. Space is extremely limited and early registration is strongly suggested. Start making plans to attend Heritage Day and see the many exhibitors and vendors that we have lined up like Antique Tractors, Classic Autos, a Petting Zoo, Inflatables and Live Entertainment! Harrington Parks & Recreation welcomes all new ideas in an effort to make this event better. Pop Warner Football & Cheer

Ladies Fit Class
LADIES FIT CLASSES will resume in a few weeks, date and time to be determined. These classes are designed to work a woman's body in a fun way. Learn new dance steps and forget it all at the same time! Cost per class is $5.00.
Beyond the Movement Dance
Registrations for Dance begin on July 3, 2017. OPEN HOUSE/REGISTRATIONS WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29th & 30th FROM 5-7PM. This is a 10 month program with a recital at the end of the program year. Classes are held weekly at our dance studio. This is an instructional program that places emphasis on the art of dance and the whimsy of childhood. The dance program not only focuses on the technical aspect of dance but the personal growth of our dancers as well.
Classes offered are: Monday~Intermediate to Ballet, Beginner Ballet, Musical Theater. Tuesday~Intro to Ballet & Tap 1, Intermediate Hip-Hop, Tap1. Wednesday~Creative Movement for Tots, Intro Ballet/Tap2, and Jazz.. Thursday~Intermediate Ballet, Pre~Point Ballet, Teen~Adult Ballet and Teen~Adult Jazz will begin in January.
One time Registration Fee $40.00, ($15.00 + $25.00 Costume Deposit).
Creative Movement for Tots ~ $45.00 per month.
Intermediate Ballet, (2 night classes per week), $80.00 per month. *Add Pre~Point $100.00 per month.
1 Regular Class ~ $55.00 per month.
2 Classes ~ $90.00 per month. ($110.00 if one of the classes is Intermediate Ballet).
3 Classes ~ $120.00 per month. ($140.00 if one of the classes is Intermediate Ballet).
4 Classes ~ $140.00 per month. ($160.00 if one of the classes is Intermediate Ballet).
The Community Garden
The City of Harrington Community Garden is always in need of volunteers to spend a few minutes pulling weeds. All vegetables are free. We appreciate everyone who comes out and helps us in this worthwhile cause. If you are interested in working to help us maintain our garden but have questions, please call HPR.
YOGA in Harrington! Yoga is for anybody ~ in any body, at Harrington Parks & Recreation. Classes are held on Saturday mornings at HPR from 8:30-10AM. Bring a towel, water bottle and a yoga mat. The yoga we offer is accessible by all types of people from the young to the elderly. Whether you are in shape or looking to get healthier, yoga has a benefit for you. Walk in $5 or 6 sessions $25. Please contact HPR if you would like to participate.
The Harrington Parks & Recreation Center will be open for any adult wishing to get out of the elements and walk. Treadmills, Nautilus Machines, exercise bikes and elipticals are available for use also. Adults will be able to use the center Monday through Friday while we are open. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and sign a registration form and provide valid ID before using fitness room or gym. Registration for the fitness program is $50/person and $75/couple annually. If you have any questions please call our office at 398-7975.
Pop Warner Football and Cheer Meetings
The monthly Executive Board Meeting for Pop Warner Football and Cheer will be at 6:oopm, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the Rec center. Meetings will be open to the public after the executive session around 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend if they wish.
HELP THE First State Animal Center & SPCA AT HPR!!!
The Harrington Parks and Recreation Center is helping the First State Animal Center & SPCA by collecting items on their wish list. The First State Animal Center & SPCA struggles to keep up with the flow of animals, attempting to provide for their health needs and physical comfort. In order to assist the animals at this time, they are asking for your help.
