ICGS - Celebrating our 40th Year of Fun!!
 The 2013 Iowa City Girls Softball Board of Directors welcomes you to the ICGS web site.
Our mission as a recreational softball organization is dedicated to providing girls an opportunity to learn the game of softball and to have fun playing it. Please join us in our efforts to provide the best environment possible to meet our goals.
What I learned from joining Iowa City Girls Softball:

Did you know that ICGS will celebrate it's 40th Season of Softball in 2013? It's true, this year will mark our 40th anniversary and we plan to make it a very special season! We will have commemorative T-shirts for sale and available to order when you register. Order one for the whole family and proudly display your support for Iowa City Girls Softball!

• Field Renovations
This off season some major field renovations have been taking place. Fields 1-4 have all been re-graded and drainage tiles were installed. All the fields received new sod as well so let's hope we receive enough moisture to help them all look even greener!
• ICGS Volunteers Needed!!
We are currently looking for more dedicated volunteers to serve as board members, team sponsors, coaches and parent volunteers for the upcoming 2013 season. Without the help of our wonderful volunteers our league could not be as successful as it's become. Please consider joining our team of volunteers and helping make a difference for many of the girls in our community. Anyone interested in joining the board or just learning more about any of the opportunities available can stop by any board meeting or drop us an email. You'll be happy you did!
• Updated Rainout Information
Rainout Line is the new cancellation notification system for the City of Iowa City''s Parks and Recreation Department. This service is easy to use and offers a variety of ways to receive alerts.
