Welcome to the home of the Inland Empire Scorpions. Inland Empire Scorpions was founded by Coach Duke in 2009 to create a program for our young men to compete, athletically and academically. Our coaches shall strive to promote the development of citizenship and sportsmanship, team work, making good decisions, and building good work habits, while providing an outlet for athletic activity. We have developed a program that is designed to teach the spirit of competition as a team, through the wonderful game of basketball.

Our goal is to give the student athlete that is serious about playing basketball, the training and exposure to help them achieve their athletic goals. Athletes will be given a platform to showcase their basketball talents and the training to improve their skills.

Many people judge athletic accomplishments by counting wins and losses, but to us, our legacies are much more personal. Our legacies are defined by the number of lives we are able to impact.

Winning games is important to every coach. However, it shouldn't be our only goal. A big part of the job is helping to develop solid, responsible kids who are able to become outstanding citizens. When we, as coaches, can teach a group of individuals to care as much about each other as they do about themselves, we have truly created a winning team.

We care about the kids. Every kid gets to play and no one is left out. Let's face it, the only way the kids in our team can develop better skills is by playing more!!!

INLAND EMPIRE SCORPIONS IS A YEAR ROUND BASKETBALL CLUB

The Scorpions is a year round basketball club. We break our year into 4 segments or sessions. Spring (March through May), Summer (June through August), Fall (September - October) and Winter (November through January).

You, the player, will determine your playing time by:
1. Having good grades
2. Not using foul language or displaying a negative attitude
3. Being responsible and respectful (no talking while coaches are talking or talking back)
4. Getting and staying in shape
5. Staying healthy
6. Great defense
7. Knowing your plays
8. Knowing all positions
9. Hustling at all times
10. Being a team player

Remember:

> A technical foul by a player or parent for poor sportsmanship will immediately cause the removal of that player or parent from the game. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.>Don’t let your teammates down!!! This means practice hard, pay attention and don’t mess up in the classroom, or at home.

We believe the most important thing for the player interested in getting better is finding a great coach and sticking with that club. Playing tons of summer travel games, going to Nationals and Arizona and Dallas and Vegas etc. is fun but it really isn't needed. You can find games here in Southern California to get better at. Jumping team to team doesn't develop the player either. Great practice and good competitive games with great instruction in quality, fundamental basketball is the way to get better. We feel that is what we offer. I hope you want to give us a try.

Once again to be a part of Scorpions basketball club, I really stress on having GOOD PEOPLE FIRST, then basketball talent second. I don't tolerate people with attitude problems.
