We would like to thank all the players and families for coming out to the Fall tryouts for the 2010 Niagara Junior Purple Eagles 12U Travel Team. It was a pleasure meeting all of you.

Welcome to the 12U Junior Purple Eagles!
Welcome to the 2010 season of the 12U Jr. Purple Eagles Travel Baseball Team. The Jr. Purple Eagles will play at a high level, and will be put on a path in the game of baseball and life that is both fulfilling and rewarding.
Since hard work builds character, and character breeds success, the Jr. Purple Eagles are building a program that will provide young athletes with the foundations for future success, much like the goals of the institution the program is named after, Niagara University. The Jr. Purple Eagles is the natural realization of the bond that exists with the Lewiston-Niagara area and Niagara University. As Niagara university breeds and nurtures the next generation of leaders in Western New York, the Jr. Purple Eagles will look to the values and principals of the institution to guide our program.
The 12U Jr. Purple Eagles are guided by Head Coach Mark Gabriele, along with Assistant Coaches Craig Gonzales, Jack Waugaman, Mark Teoli and Dan Carrow. These coaches promise to offer your child the development and guidance that is often lacking in youth baseball.
Tryouts Completed
Thanks to all players that came out to the Tryouts over the past couple of weeks. The 2010 Niagara Junior Purple Eagles 12U Travel Team roster will be posted on this website on Wednesday 9/16/09. We are in the process of reviewing all evaluation forms and receiving comments from all evaluators. A special thanks goes out to all 13 coaches and directors that gave of their time over the Tryout period.
Eagles Win Lancaster Tournament Championship !!

The Niagara Junior Purples Eagles captured their first Tournament Championship of the year at the 2009 Lancaster Depew 11u Baseball Classic over the July 23-26 weekend. The Eagles battled both their opponents and the weather on the way to the title.
The Eagles started the tournament off great with a victory Friday night over Matthewson McCarthy, which included an 11-run first inning explosion. On Saturday, the Eagles captured the 1st seed in Pool A by beating Lakeview 8-1 and Lancaster Black 12-2.
On Sunday, the Eagles' bats continued their hot ways in their semi-final game against host Lancaster Gold. With the help of a 9-run second inning, the Eagles moved to the Finals with a 13-8 victory. The Eagles met a gritty Buffalo Wings team in the Finals. But again the Eagles bats put a damper on the already wet field by jumping out to an 8-0 lead after 2 innings, and cruised to a 13-4 victory and the Championship.
Congrats to the Champion Eagles !!!
