We have an extension for the MacMillan Coolie Dough orders. You can still hand in orders up to Nov 17th. Cheryl will need to place the final orders by Nov 18th. Spidey AWOL Nov 13th - 22nd

The WebGuy will be out-of-town from Friday Nov 13th to Sunday Nov 22nd. He will probably not have regular internet access during that time, so please communicate important information to the team using email. Coach Brent will make any emergency updates to the calendar if required. Otherwise Spidey will catch up on the calendar changes and other news when he returns.
Chocolate Bar Fundraiser

Please bring any chocolate bar money you have to the game tonight. If you don't bring it tonight, you'll get a visit tomorrow from Julie's friend Guido (see picture to the right). There are about 5 parents left ,so most have paid, just a few left and then Julie can square away the profits. The total profit this year is a whopping $844.30!!! We all owe Julie a really big THANK YOU for coordinating this fundraiser.
Team Photo Dec 1st

Our team photo is scheduled for Tuesday Dec 1st 8:40pm. Please be there no later than 8:00pm. All pictures will take place in the main concourse at KRC (not upstairs). Players need full equipment except for helmet, neckguard and mouthguard. Click here for the order form which you can print and complete in advance. Extra forms will be available at the KRC on photo day, as well as sponsor plaque order forms for managers. Cash, debit and credit card will be accepted for payment.
KMHA Fights Hunger Day Nov 15th

The KMHA is holding a league-wide food drive in support of the Kanata Food Cupboard Sunday Nov 15th. Volunteers will be at KRC, Jack Charron and the Bell Sensplex arenas throughout the day to collect food and monetary donations. We challenge all coaches, players, teams and parents to give back to their community and donate much needed food supplies to the Kanata Food Cupboard. Lets help our community. Kanata minor hockey teams have a long history of generosity and community support. The "Hockey Fights Hunger" initiative brings all of the teams together for one massive event that will hopefully help to fill the shelves into the spring and early summer. Some of the most needed items are powdered milk, flaked meat (e.g. tuna, ham chicken), canned fruit and vegetables, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, casserole mixes, cereal, soups and baking mixes, toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
Practice Nov 16th with Major Atom A

We will be having a split practice Nov 16th 7-8pm at KRC with the Major Atom A team. We will be running the practice for the Atom team and all of our players will be helping to demonstrate and teach the Atom players.

Julie will have the the Loblaws gift cards (orders from last week and this week) at the game tonight. If you'd like to order, please contacat Julie. If you or your family and friends shop at Loblaws, Independents or Canadian Superstore, please use the cards. It costs nothing to use them, and the team (aka "we the parents") get money back. And don't forget about the KMHA contest for most cards sold -- pizza party, hour of ice, and 40 tickets to Ottawa 67s game. The cards are available in $50, $100 and $200.
