Academy Program Update

September 4, 2014

Please be advised that the online registration option is now closed. If you wish to register you must contact our Program Director at for more details.

Academy Program Update

September 3, 2014

The program will begin on Monday the 8th. You will start getting contacted by the end of the week with your days and times. All players can come in any color shirt and black shorts. Every player must bring a ball, water, and their cleats. The age groups will be U6 thru U12. We have several U 14 players registered. We will accept those players if you are still interested into the U 12 group if you would like. Please keep in mind that the focus of the program has changed and the difference in age will not be a factor. For those of you who do not wish to participate under our new structure you must email me requesting your refund so it can be sent to our accounting department. Please keep in mind that once we start on Monday and you check into training there will no longer be the option for a refund. Please take time to contemplate and make the appropriate decision regarding you personal situation. Once you show up and are checked in it will be too late to request the refund. We thank you for you patience and continued support.

Dear Parents,

We are happy to let you know that our program will be changing this season to one that is focused on player education and development.  All players that register for the program in the Fall of 2014 will be coached by a licensed coach that is supervised by the Director of the soccer program, Nelson Vargas.  Nelson Vargas has put together a training program that is age appropriate and will be consistent across the board to all players of that age group.  Players will learn and work on areas of the game of soccer as describe by the US Soccer Federation.  The focus of this program will be to teach the children the fundaments of the game and will not be on winning and losing.  Players will be allowed to enjoy the games and experiment with different positions and aspects of the game. Players will practice twice per week and play in games every other week that will be supervised by coaches from that age group.

Registration fees will continue to be $175 and the players will receive 2 shirts that are to be worn to practice and games.  The season will run from September 8th thru December 12th, 2014.  We will continue to accept registrations online and payment can be made at WLP.

Players will be contacted as to time and date of practice.  Parents that would like to assist will be contacted by Mr. Vargas as to what will be expected and in what areas you can assist with the players.
