2010 Spring Lacrosse Season
We hope you will join Kelly Post for a great Spring season! Registration will begin in early December for returning Kelly Post players. Open registration will begin on January 1st, 2010 for new players. A waiting list will be started when teams are full. Please select the correct registration form for your daughter's age group from the forms to the right of the screen when available. You must pay using a charge card in order for your registration to be valid. The cost is listed for each age category. 2010 Age Groups
** Please note that MYLA has changed the age cut-off dates! Look at the date ranges carefully before registering your daughter.
Clinic: Girls born between Sept. 1st, 2002 and Aug. 31st, 2004
Tyker: Girls born between Sept. 1st, 2000 and Aug. 31st, 2002
Lightning: Girls born between Sept. 1st, 1998 and Aug. 31st, 2000
Midget: Girls born between Jan. 1st, 1997 and Aug. 31st, 1998
Junior: Girls born in 1995 & 1996
Spring Lacrosse Program Description
Clinic - Teams meet once a week on Sundays at Glendale Park. There will be an end of season Fun Day, date to be announced. Clinic begins in April. The cost is $50.
Tyker – Practices are held one night a week at Glendale Park. Games are played on Saturdays at Overlook Park. Teams may practice on Saturdays until games begin. The cost is $100. Tykers is primarily an inhouse program, but will also have a travel team. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form if you want to try out for the Tyker travel team. There is an additional cost if your daughter makes the travel team. The Travel Team practices 2 to 3 times per week. Tryouts will be held at the end of February, date to be announced. The Tyker season culminates with a "Fun Day," dates TBD.
Lightning - Practices are held one or two days a week at Overlook Park, Meadowood or Forge Park. Games are scheduled by the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association (MYLA) and can take place any day of the week. The cost is $140.
Midget and Junior - Practice two days a week at Meadowood and/or Forge Park. Games are scheduled by the Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association (MYLA) and can take place any day of the week. The cost is $140.
Practice for Tykers, Lightning, Midgets, and Juniors start in the beginning of March, weather permitting. Please read our weather policy located on the left sidebar menu.
REFUND POLICY – No refunds given after date February 1st, 2010.
Coaching Opportunities
Coaching at Kelly Post is a fun and exciting way to be a part of your daughter's life. If you have lacrosse experience and the desire to be a part of our coaching staff, please contact Tammy Coccagna at tcoccagna@gmail.com.
Evaluation Dates and Times
Evaluations will be held to develop our travel teams for all lightning, midget & junior players. Please plan on attending at least one evaluation before the season begins. After registration is finalized, you will be notified of evaluation times, dates and location.
Tournaments
The travel tyker team and all lightning, midget and junior teams participate in at least one tournament at the end of the season. Usually this is LAX MAX or LAX SPLASH. Tournament fees are included in the registration fee. If a team chooses to participate in another tournament, the cost will be shared by the team members.
Equipment
Lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard (must be color, not clear), sneakers or cleats. We recommend cleats for lightning, midgets and juniors. Goalie equipment is provided by Kelly Post.
