Open tryouts in January will be announced soon!



ATTENTION returning Storm Players and veteran indoor football players....
The Overland Park Storm a member of the American Professional football League will be conducting two open tryouts in January for players interested in trying out for the 2006 roster. We will make announcements very soon on the dates times, and locations of the tryouts. The cost of the tryouts will be $50 (CASH ONLY).

Players interested in securing a spot for one of the open tryouts needs to register at the player tryout registration link on this website.

ONLY SERIOUS PLAYERS THAT WANT TO MAKE THE STORM A PLAYOFF CONTENDER NEED APPLY!

Overland Park's Indoor Football Team

Overland Park, Kansas will is the new home of the newly named Overland Park Storm (formerly the Kansas Storm) the Storm will bring a hard hitting action and high scoring brand of football to the Johnson County area. Along with the name change the Storm will bring on a new look and a new winning attitude to the APFL.

The Kansas Storm Gears up for 2006

After a season of growing pains and good times the Kansas Storm is in the beginning stages of preparing for the 2006 APFL Season. We are looking foward to upgrading many things in the Kansas Storm organization as we prepare to make a run for the playoffs in 2006.

We are interested in hearing from players, coaches, and staff that are interested in joining the Kansas Storm for the 2006 season. Feel free to fill out your information on the player or staff information link on this website or contact the Storm at kansasstorm@hotmail.com or clvland@yahoo.com.

Corporate Sponsorship Sales Staff
Salary-Commission Based on Sales
The Kansas Storm is currently seeking several individuals to join their sales staff. Sales staff will present our corporate sponsorship packages to businesses in the surrounding area.

Canidates must have strong communication skills, attention to details, good people skills, organizational skills, and an energetic personality. Sales staff members will report to the Sales Director and Team Owner.

Internships
Athletic Trainer Interns- Will assist the Head Trainer with player care, taping players, and other trainer duties assigned by the Head Trainer. Interns will need to be available for team practices and games during the season.

Director of Player Contact/Profiles- This internship is for journalism students. Duties will include interviewing players, coaches, and staff also writing player profiles and other team information to be included in media guides, programs, and the team website.

Assistant Coaches- The Overland Park Storm is currently looking for assistant coaches for the 2006 APFL Indoor Football season. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to turn the Storm into a contender for 2006.

Assistant Coaches must be available for practices, meetings, and games. Dedication is a must and must be willing to teach players the game of indoor football Football coaching experience (at any level) is required but will consider individuals looking to get into coaching as a career as well.

The Kansas Koyotes capture their third APFL Championship

The Kansas Koyotes win their third straight APFL Championship on a 33 yard field goal as time expired to defeat the Iowa Blackhawks 26-24. The fans that attended the game was treated to a fantastic game after a 3-3 deadlock the Koyotes took a 15-3 lead in the second half the Blackhawks came back to take a 16-15 lead the two traded touchdowns one more time as the Blackhawks took a 24-23 lead with 11 seconds left in the game, the Koyotes returned the ball into Blackhawk territory and then put the game into Jerry Lakin's foot with 3.3 seconds remaining and kicked the Koyotes to their third straight APFL Championship.

Congratulations to the Kansas Koyotes and the Iowa Blackhawks on a grest season and a even better championship game. We will see you in 2006.

The Storm closes out their first season in the APFL

The 2005 APFL season has come to a close for the Kansas Storm indoor football team. Though we had a tough season finishing 0-5 on the season we have constructed the foundation and we will work hard to build the Kansas Storm for a stronger APFL season in 2006.

We would like to thank our families, friends, fans, and supporters for your encouragement and support throughout our first season. We would also like to thank the Koyotes, Bears, Aviators, Blackhawks, and Minutemen for making life on the road a great experience for us. Finally we would like to thank our players that played this season and fought hard each and every play without you there is no Kansas Storm.

The Kansas Storm will have several events throughout the off season continue to check out our website for announcements and more news about the Kansas Storm.

The Storm will complete their indoor season against the Iowa Blackhawks in Council Bluffs Iowa

The Kansas Storm will travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa to play border our northern border rival the Iowa Blackhawks.

Kansas Storm forms partnership with the Kansas City Storm women's team

The Kansas Storm has formed a new partnership with the Kansas City Storm Women's Football Team. We will be working together on a variety of events and promotions. We will make some announcements about our events very soon. We look forward to a great relationship with our sister team for many seasons to come.
