Welcome to the home of the
Lady Ballers AAU Basketball
|
Texas Ballers AAU Basketball Association (Lady TX Ballers) is a non-profit youth sports organization which began in 2007 by supporting one tournament team in their effort to compete in amateur athletics in AAU basketball. Our team competes in 16U & 17U young women. We are located on the Southwest side on town in Houston TX serving girls in the Alief, Fort Bend, and Cypress area.
Our goal is to raise the competitive level of girl's basketball in Houston and expose our female athletes to the best players and young women's basketball coaches from high schools and colleges throughout different states. Participation in girl's basketball national tournaments gives our athletes invaluable experience, friendships and scholarship opportunities they might never have dreamed possible.
Our hope is that their experience with the Texas Ballers AAU Basketball Association will continue to open doors for girls who wish to participate in young women's basketball at the collegiate level and beyond.
AAU Program Description
Our AAU or competitive program is designed for those interested in a competitive environment where the goal is to improve individual and team skills well beyond the recreational level.
Participation in AAU requires a significant commitment of time, energy and financial resources. There are numerous practices and games; and the team will attend numerous weekend tournaments. The AAU program begins with tryouts in October and runs through early October. An AAU team will typically have three or four activities (practices or games) per week.
To contact our AAU Coordinator, please refer to the "Contact Us" tab.
The AAU fee for the season is $250 per participant. This fee covers gym fees, uniforms, tournaments, referees, league fees and other expense associated with conducting the program.
Sponsorship Commitment
An integral aspect of the Texas Ballers Basketball Association is its continued commitment to the values of sportsmanship and fair play. These vital, but often overlooked, tenants of youth sports are taken seriously by all those associated with Texas Ballers youth basketball.
The Association strives to instill these values within the ranks of its member coaches, players and parents. Recognizing these characteristics amongst competitors is also a great lesson for all involved.
This season will feature a repeat of our "Sportsmanship Awards". At the conclusion of this season, coaches (with assistance from parents and team members) will nominate a competitor's team which best conducted itself in a respectful and sportsmanlike fashion. All players of the honored team will receive individual awards, with a letter-of-commendation presented to the coaches.
