CNCC Celebrates Arbor Day
Spartans celebrate Arbor Day at the CNCC campus in Rangely, CO. Beginning this year, students were allowed to "adopt" then plant a tree to mark this national holiday.
Taylor checks the depth of the hole before removing her 'adopted' tree from the plastic container.
Chantal carefully prepares the hole to receive her 'adopted' tree.
Kelsey directs as Dan Parish assistS her with setting her 'adopted' tree into its new location.
Emily couldn't be here at the time of the tree planting event, so her teammates planted this tree for her. Because she was preparing backpacks for a wilderness backpacking trip, Racheal also had a team mate plant her tree. Shown left to right: Caitlyn, Chantal, Taylor, and Kelsey.

'...what's so funny?'
There is actually a 'funny' story behind this photo. Coach Sanchez is red-faced after catching Kierstin C. [almost off the photo far, lower right]. She was okay, however, and everyone had a good laugh.

Ice Climbing Tower
During those colder months you can enjoy the ice...
One of the unique experiences offered at CNCC is an 'ice tower' located on campus at CNCC during the first portion of Spring semester. Classses in proper use of equipment and climbing techniques prepare students for an adventure to locations such as Ouray, CO for ice climbing.
When the weather warms in late spring, CNCC offers classes at the newly constructed Challenge Course [see photo album for pictures].
