"I would like to congratulate all of our current and former Jr. Eagles.   Being a part of the Jr. Eagles can be one of the most rewarding experiences as a youth football player.  We encourage participation and growth as you continue towards your athletic goals.  Best of luck to the coaches and players as future Eagles."

The Jr. Eagles are working closely with Jacobs High School to ensure that we are properly developing the players. Through a focus on the fundamentals and fun, the players will be successful and the youth level and prepare them for high school – regardless of which school that they will be attending. Jr. Eagles will be taught proper techniques from the Bantam to Heavyweight Levels to ensure safety with a winning attitude.

Safety in Youth Football

USA Football has released findings from a two-year study to advance player health and safety in organized youth tackle football.  We take concussion safety VERY seriously and Dave Golnick was recently on WGN Radio talking about all of the steps the Jr. Eagles and the TCYFL have taken. http://wgn.fm/2014/03/07/mind-and-body-segment-3/#axzz2vJDOZwFM

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body, commissioned its Youth Football Player Safety Surveillance Study in February 2012 with Indianapolis-based Datalys Center for Sports Injury Research and Prevention. The independent scientific study monitored leagues in six states and is believed to be the first of its scope in youth football’s 80-plus year history.  For the results which showed a DRASTIC decrease in injuries for those using the Heads Up Football Program, which the Jr. Eagles have been following since 2013, click here.

The Lake in the Hills/Algonquin Junior Eagles Youth Football Program was founded in 1985 and has since been the area's premier youth football team for children ages 5-14 years old, featuring both a tackle and a flag football program.  In 2010, the organization switched its name from the Falcons to the Junior Eagles to further solidify its identity as the primary feeder team for Jacobs High School's Golden Eagles Football Team.  We believe that the dedication, mental toughness, physical conditioning and emotional endurance that it takes to be a football player will instill qualities in our youth that will lead them to success in all their pursuits.

During the time that the Junior Eagles have been in the The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL), the Eagles have produced 19 TCYFL Championship Teams at both the Big 10 and Pac 10 Levels and we continually put our teams in the TCYFL playoffs with great success every year.  The TCYFL is largest independent football league in the country and three times larger than the next closest in Illinois.  The TCYFL regularly has the high schools that the youth programs feed into deep into, or winning, the state high school playoffs.
