2010 SPORTSMANSHIP RATINGS - TEAM 2010 Team Sportsmanship RatingsFebruary 2, 2010
Each week, we rate teams based on their sportsmanship for three aspects of the game; Players, Coaches and Spectators. These ratings are calculated and displayed each week, both here and at the gym. Team awards are given upon completion of the program based upon average ratings for all games played.
"BEYOND THE SCOREBOARD" INDIVIDUAL SPORTSMANSHIP INCENTIVE Beyond the Scoreboard MSU Incentive PosterMSU Hockey vs Bowling Green
February 26th @ Munn Arena
How it works – At the conclusion of each game, coaches will nominate
one player from their team who displayed acts of sportsmanship, not just
ability or skill. Staff and game officials also have the ability to nominate
players who they see as going “beyond the scoreboard” in their attitude.
All of the nominated players’ names will go into a lottery drawing for the
final 10 players (1 boy and 1 girl from each age division) who will
represent Lansing Parks & Recreation at the MSU game. There is no limit
to the number of times a child can be nominated by our staff.
This incentive program is being funded by the
Tony Noyola Memorial Youth Scholarship
Fund
